With the closing of the signal Butte Rubio's, we went searching for a replacement. Rubio's on power and baseline turned out to be horrible to the point of brick hard overcooked food employees with bad attitudes, no place to park and a restaurant not set up to handle the high volume on Tuesdays. This location near Bass Pro was our next attempt. It has plenty parking and the eating area is nice but inside was overly warm but not a big deal. In our order my three fish tacos had half as much fish as the one at signal Butte. No problem still in the running category and tasted good. We did notice that there was a fishy smell when we entered the restaurant which is common but often is a sign of improperly prepared fish, old fish or an unclean area that handles fish. My wife ordered the steak taco and wasn't really impressed she said it tasted ok and overall it was decent until she finished eating. A trip to the bathroom and back immediately with the look on her face of we need to go somewhere else. The bathroom was not clean at all. As to where to go she looked across the way and said we better head to Walmart, they have clean bathrooms. She then explained that her hope was not to throw up. This location and all of Rubio's locations are no longer on our eating out list. I'm giving this location two stars instead of one as the workers were courteous and helpful and my fish tacos we're...
Read moreI love the food, always have and hopefully always will. But the customer service recently left more to ask for. It was a busy lunch period and the guy in front of me was asking A LOT of questions with a really exaggerated "ohhhhhh ok" to every response from the cashier, but it didn't excuse him for being annoyed with me and messing up my order. I had two rewards via the app. My question was whether I could use two rewards at the same time. Answer was no, so I asked whether the reward I accidentally activated would disappear forever after its timer expires (gives you 30 minutes to redeem the reward in person once activated). He didn't know my question on a couple attempts, and eventually didn't have an answer. I decided then to just use the other reward. I think I was extremely clear in saying I wanted one free taco (with the reward) and then one lunch special that comes with two tacos and a drink (so 3 tacos total). He ended up charging me for 1 taco only and the drink. He seemed annoyed with me for trying to clarify the rewards thing and just put whatever the hell on the register to get rid of me. They were legitimate questions and it was an easy order. They need training on their own app if that was really so difficult...
