Tacos & Dogos Don Nico Restaurant — Restaurant in Mesa

Came for the tacos, coming back for the dogos. The tacos Al pastor were incredibly flavorful, I wouldn't even bother with salsa if I didn't love variety in my bites. The meat was also tender without any nasty big piece of fat in either taco. The avocado salsa was also delicious, much closer to guacamole than most tomatillo based sauces I've had, and without the sour cream that sometimes makes me avoid them. I also had a quesabirria to round out my experience which I really enjoyed as well. Their prices are low and my tacos were heavy, I couldn't make these two bite tacos and my mouth is a miracle worker.

The lady who took my order was really nice, she spent most of the time I was there chatting with another customer but she had her eyes on everyone to make sure they liked their food. The food came out really fast which I appreciate because this is the kind of place I'll often end up ordering more. Like I said at the top, I'll be coming back to try the hotdogs because they also looked bomb. I'll also definitely be coming back just to chill at those...

First visit here, and we've tried many Mexican restaurants in the area, and this by far is the BEST; atmosphere, service, food! We had the carne asada torta, pastor taco combo, and grilled green onion & chiles. The torta is the best torta I've EVER had, and I'm a picky Mexican! Amazing! Will definitely be back in the near future. I asked what Cahuamanta was, and they gave me a sample to try. Oh my omg, it was amazing, but my BF said it was too fishy for his taste buds for the night, lol. The ladies in the front were very attentive, cleaning, serving, taking orders like no tomorrow, and the cook was on it! They were pretty busy, and we got our food so fast, and it was fresh and flavorful. Rice and beans, in my personal opinion, could use a little salt or consome, but it is better to be safe than salty. Place was packed when we showed up Saturday night 8pm! Lots of people and families out for dinner! Workers are very friendly and they bring the food to you :) clean atmosphere! I stared at a bottle cap on the floor for like 3mins before someone came and swept it away. Tables were super clean for the next guest(s) when finished. They have TVs for entertainment but not the game I wanted :p menu was new to me for the most part but everything was so dang YUMM.
