Never, ever go here. The food was average or below but the reason to stay away is the lack of service and attitude.
First, they charge $1 for ice tea refills with no indication of this on the menu.
Second, the menu says " Chilis Rellenos". Now my Spanish is not great but even I know that that means more than one - which is all I received.
Third, I was pretty much ignored the whole time I was there. They took my order, delivered it, and disappeared. Never checked on the food quality - not bad except.that my chili relleno was cold. I tried to catch their attention for 15 minutes while they ignored me completely. I did finally catch their attention to get the tea I wanted.
Fourth, I asked what they had for dessert. I was told flan. I ordered it. A few minutes later the server came back and said they were out. Come on. It was 6pm and I was the only customer in the restaurant the whole time I was there. How could she not know they were out of flan before she offered it to me?
Fifth (and last), I had forgotten that one of the reviews had said that they don't take credit cards so I was not happy to find this out (my fault, of course). What upset me more was they refused to give me a receipt, saying the receipt was theirs. I said no receipt - no pay. After arguing with me for a while the girl asked a guy to come out who spoke better English. I explained that I would not pay without a receipt as I could not expense the meal otherwise. He told the girl that the register receipt was for the customer. She argued with him in Spanish for a while and walked away. He explained that she was going to call the manager. About the time I was ready to walk out and take my chances, she came back and said no problem. I paid, got my receipt and left but this exchange took 10-15 minutes.
After a long day at work I didn't need this hassle.
You can review my review history and see that when I have a good experience I rave about the restaurant. When it's bad I tell it like it is.
There is a reason this restaurant has been empty for the last hour or so during the dinner hour - it sucks and the...
Read moreThe food is good. But during the COVID mask restrictions they’d wear a mask with customers but in the kitchen and prep area they’d put it down. They never enforced the mask on customers. Before the restrictions got lifted most waitresses were not wearing a mask. Same as the cook. And specially now only one sometimes two of the waitresses wear a mask. Even tho now it is a recommendation not a Mándate I would feel more comfortable if they’d wear a mask (Like they do everywhere else that serves food) I feel very uncomfortable when ever they approach me as well as other customers with out it. they put me at risk. And they never clean the bottles of hot sauce on the tables. Where other places offer you an individual container with some chili sauce this guys always leave their greasy and sauce smeared bottles out. I do not appreciate their lack of seriousness on the current COVID life we are going through .. I won’t be back, not that it matters to them, but it...
Read moreI could give them the benefit of the doubt because it was mother's day but there was so much going on. They made us wait for a while to get our table ready, we did have 16 people to our party. When they let us sit they said we would have to wait for one table to be unoccupied to fit everyone. I look around and see there is already one unoccupied with no plates or reserved signs. I feel like the lady in charge saw me looking and suggested we use that table. My sister and I moved that table ourselves. There was also a piece of plastic in my shrimp burro, I got a massive stomach ache in the middle of the night. I believe it was from that. It was a really terrible experience. Never going...
