Big Boi's Chicken -N- Waffles — Restaurant in Mesquite

Okay I have ordered a few things from him before through doordash. So I saw fried ribs and wanted to give them a try. I love me some good fried ribs, so I assumed these was going to be so bomb. Little did I know that they were not just the regular fried ribs, but smoked fried ribs. I was not a big fan of them and called the restaurant to inquire and the owner got on the phone and explained to me. He was very friendly and offered to replace it, which I was glad to hear. And told me to let him know! I still had the plate of ribs to send back just to show him that I barely ate any of them, but he wasn't worried about it. So today I called to get my plate and which he happily obliged and told me to give him some time, like 20 minutes since he was by himself. I said no problem and asked could I get the porkchops basket. He said sure and asked if I wanted it seasoned with the special season he uses on his food. I said sure and sent my caregiver to pick it up for me. Let me say this the customer service over the phone was superb. I appreciate him being hands on and not giving me a hard time upon me not liking the ribs. That shows great ownership and character. Now let's talk about this porkchop basket! I hate I didn't take a picture of them, but hands down the best porkchops I have ever had in my life. They are even better than my own and I can cook. I love giving props to where they are due. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked to perfection. No lie, I was darn near cleaning them bones! Now that's how you know something is good. I have had the chicken and burger, but those can't top the porkchops. So next time I want me some porkchops I will definitely be getting them from here. Hey Now Say Now Wait Now, Lets talk about Big Boi's Chicken -N-Waffles.

This the spot to go when i say i ordered... 3 orders of the 6 piece Lemon Pepper Chicken-N-Waffles. Which included fries and peppers + syrup. 2 piece catfish plate. Which includes fries and peppers + bread. Everything was cooked to perfection we had zero complaints. 2 large Koolaids (cherry)

Lets start from the parking lot.... So we was confused at first because the restaurant is located inside of a convenience store so we kept over looking it and driving past it. IF YOU SEE THE CORNER STORE YOU AT THE RIGHT PLACE JUST GO IN.

When we got in you could see the Big Boi's... Sign, as well as the convenience store items around it. We got us the Koolaids and got the kids some small juices from the store. IYKYK. :)

Our food didnt take long at all maybe 20 mins. It was hot it was fresh and it was seasoned to perfection. We werent big fans of the inside so we took the food to the car. We couldnt wait to dig in so we got a few fries but everything was so fresh that it was still hot so we waited to really did in once we got home.

We will about 15 mins from the location and our food was still hot and fresh when we made it home. It was so lovely.

We rushed in and tore that food up it was delicious. If you havent tried them you need to get there asap and put your order in. i havent had everything but i know its worth it.

Just keep in mind this is a hole in the wall place mixed with a corner store so there is not social media wow factor. Walked in and the two people working there were great and very welcoming. I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and it came with fries. They definitely cooked it while you wait, was about 15 minutes. I'm ok with waiting knowing my food is going to be fresh. Opened up the plate and man the burger was massive! A little short on the fries tho but no complaints there was enough. They took kind of the Wingstop approach on the fry seasoning so they are a little sweet. The are avarage fries hit with seasoning so nothing wow but they weren't bad. Then came the burger. It's definitely a big burger if that's what your looking for. I thought they forgot my bacon but they put it between the two pieces of meat. The burger was good. Just don't expect those big time super juicy dripping burgers and it wasn't the best burger I had but it was good tho no complaints! They have so much to offer which I really wouldn't mind trying it's just the idea of trying to figure out how they are fixing all these options and where everything is has me worried because it's such a small place but I can't judge until I try!
