This is the worst restaurant I have been to. I went in to pick up an online order and the place was packed with customers waiting in line and only one tiny black girl serving while 4 other staff INCLUDING THE SUPERVISOR were gossiping in the back room and on their cellphones. After waiting in line for 10 minutes this black lady tells me to cancel my order because the wait was going to be long. I told her because I had already waited 10 minutes. This lady then yelled at me telling me to sit down. When I asked her for how long she told me-āI canāt tell youā¦ā And then the tirade began when I insisted on knowing how long. I was insulted and yelled at by this woman all within the hearing of an intimidated supervisor who shamefully denied hearing anything. Whoever owns this place you do not have a business neither do you have employees there. You have a bunch of thugs working for you and do not care whether a customer gets service or not. When you have people in the back room gossiping and laughing while customers wait; you have a serious problem. This Starbucks gets a one star only because there is no negative one star. It is a horrible example of a restaurant. Shame on all the employees who were working there on August 4th 2023 at 6 pm. ALL except the tiny black girl who stood strong and kept working while these other bullies were gossiping.
On following up with Customer Service at Starbucks, the lady I spoke with told me that the online review team was responsible for such complaints. A few months back I had ordered drinks for myself and a few others along with 3 protein boxes of which I never received. I showed up for a pickup order and the drinks were ready but the boxes werenāt there. When I asked I was told sorry, they forgot to disable the option to order because they had just sold out and to call a number to get a refund. When I called, I was told they would look the order up and after they found it they assured me I would receive a refund for the missing items. I never received any such refund for the items and this was months ago. The latest was an online order yet again placed first thing in the morning and for yet again a few drinks and a food item. After waiting roughly 20 min over the pickup time and collecting the drinksā I had to leave because I didnāt have anymore time to spare⦠this was for a pumpkin loaf unwarmed. This is such a shame⦠I watched 2 of the 3 girls bickering back and forth on how there were so many waiting for just food to be placed while the other was drowning in a line at the register while trying to prepare everything food wise. This was not good leadership or team building. We help each other out instead of tearing one another down. I donāt think I will order any food from this location again. I AM GREETED BY NAME AS MANY CUSTOMERS ARE. THE STAFF EVEN REMEMBER MY FAVORITE DRINKS. I have grown to learn a lot about how Starbucks helps the community of Mesquite. STARBUCKS HELPS SHARING LIFE BY DONATING TO THEM. THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE LAUGHS ABOUT YOUR $5.00 COFFEE, JUST LET THEM KNOW ABOUT A CHILD WHO IS IN HER OR HIS MESQUITE RESIDENCE EATING A HEALTHY, WELL BALANCED MEAL FROM SHARING LIFE BECAUSE STARBUCKS WAS ABLE TO DONATE TO SHARING LIFE BECAUSE OF FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS LIKE US!!! STARBUCKS HAS A GREAT THING GOING ON FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND IT SHOWS. I HAVE YET TO MEET AN UNHAPPY BARISTA OR ANY MEMBER OF THE STARBUCKS FAMILY. THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE TREATED WELL. MANY COMPANIES COULD USE A FEW LESSONS FROM STARBUCKS MANAGEMENT and BARISTAS. AT STARBUCKS, BARISTAS ARE SETTING STANDARDS FOR MANAGERS ACROSS AMERICA TO LIVE UP TO AND THEY INCLUDE HONEST, HAPPY PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT OTHERS.
