As we do every couple of weeks, we ordered Chipotle. I don’t understand what it is, but every Chipotle we go to there is a problem. We stopped going to Rowlett because of the service, which included workers whispering about my husband as if he wasn’t standing there, to missing items, and just attitude. We decided to come here as a change of location and to give the benefit of the doubt.
We don’t give bad reviews “just for fun” but to warn others to watch for issues we have experienced. I will give a good review just as fast as I give a bad one. But Chipotle.. re-evaluate your employees.
I’m going to start with the guacamole they forgot that was apart of my birthday reward. I also ordered chips and guacamole, totaling it to two guacamoles. I will say Pepper, their automated system gave me back my missing guacamole.
Next, the chips. They barely gave me a handful of chips. The portion was sad, and didn’t even fill up the bag half way. It was almost as if they gave me a children’s portion size, if that.
Speaking of the portion size, the corn and rice they gave me next to my quesadilla was a little low. But that’s not my main issue with that. My issue was the cross contamination of red salsa I did not order splattered on my corn. This wasn’t from my husbands food in the same bag since both are packaged separately.
That brings me to my husbands food. They filled the bowl completely backwards. The pico and red salsa was on top, and they had smushed the lid down onto it as well. My quesadilla box was in the bottom of the bag, so it wasn’t that. He did order quac on top of his bowl as well, which he received maybe less than half a scoop of.
Besides the issues with our food, the service is always awful.
They think their vinaigrette sauce is gold. Why are all of the workers acting like gollum, protecting the ring? I’m serious, every time you ask for it there is serious attitude, or they give you minimal and aren’t afraid to argue with you about it. More like make an argument or show attitude even if you’re nice about it. Just like tonight; when my husband asked for 3 ramekins that they fill the quarter of the way anyways, the first worker immediately told him “we are out”.. until his coworker corrected him and said there was some in the back. He reluctantly then went to the back and brought a handful, but then put only ONE in our bag in a very petty fashion. Two would have been more understandable since we had TWO meals.
It’s very frustrating to put up with these employees, and then come home to find things missing, or something wrong with the food. At this point, it’s almost a slap in the face to even go to Chipotle. I understand being busy, I understand being tired, but that is not a reason to treat customers badly and CONSTANTLY make mistakes. I wouldn’t even have left this review if it was just the guacamole missing, things happen. But there were so many things that just keep piling on.

Read moreThis is by far the best Chipotle in town. I've been to a number of Chipotle's in the Dallas area and this one was so great at customer service that I was actually surprised. I was surprised that such fast paced workers, at such a busy location, would take the time to make sure I had everything I needed.
Food was great. I'm not a huge fan of black beans but when I tried them on my friend's taco they were scrumptious. I later tried the same taco at another location and they weren't as good (thus proving my point that I have to return to this location to get those beans). The brisket tacos were more than you could ask for and the chicken was moist and flavorful, yum.
Customer service. This place was packed from the moment I walked in the door til the moment I left. I'm talking a line that wrapped around the inside of the store and out the door. That being said I didn't feel like the wait was terribly long. Obviously if there is a line that long its going to be a minute but be patient, the wait is worth it (think about it, because the restaurant is so busy you'll never get cold food because they are constantly cooking the food to keep up with the number of people coming in). When we got to the front of the line, the workers were curtious and didn't make me feel like they were just trying to get rid of me. All smiles. The cashier was great and gave me an idea for one of their bottled drinks that turned out to be so delicious. The next part is the best, I was asked how the food was and if I could be helped by one of the managers or head guys. I really appreciate it when a restaurant takes the time to visit, even if just for a moment, with their customers. Really makes me feel like they care.
Atmosphere. Great place, great location, warm and inviting.
I will always go to this location if its in my 10...
Read moreI ordered the new steak fajita quesadilla through the app (only way you can order it) and I bought a burrito bowl inside the store when I went inside to pick up my quesadilla. My burrito was rushed (although it was only a couple of people in the line at the time) with the staff just throwing everything in the bowl. I asked for the tomato salsa, and the worker threw almost more of IT in the bowl than there was meat and beans! I understand a small line, but who wants food that people are literally throwing together? When I got home, the steak quesadilla was even worse! Thrown together in a thin “to go” box that smushed the quesadillas together, and the fajita veggies that I requested were nowhere to be found. They put sour cream and salsa in the same thin “to go” box as the smushed up quesadillas (instead of in a separate little to go cup with lid) so the entire box was wet and mushy, and the contents had leaked through the box into the “to go” bag. Everything including the service was absolutely horrible, and I never plan to return ever again. For as much money as I paid for a thrown together burrito bowl and smushed up quesadilla, I could’ve sat down at Saltgrass and had a decent steak dinner! Not worth the...
