Finally made the move to New Orleans last week. Looking for new places to eat that don't break the bank, but still tickle the taste buds. I live less than 3 miles away so they popped up on a Google search. I thought it was a typo when the hours of operation said they close at 6:00 am. I called to double-check and the guy who answered the phone was very friendly so I decided to drive over. I'm glad that I did. At first, the place is like a Latin dance club. There are lights, couches, and music, but I wasn't there to dance. I was there to eat. I headed over to the bar where I was greeted by quite possibly the prettiest Latina I've ever seen in my life. I work at a recording studio and produce reggaeton so I have seen hundreds of Latin women. Even still, this one made even me a little nervous LOL. I ordered queso which came out bubbling in a small pot, which I thought was a nice touch. I also got three birria tacos. I've probably had every taco on Williams Boulevard and the surrounding area. This is definitely one of the better ones. The gravy that comes with it is what makes or breaks the meal and these folks came through with flying colors. The price was incredibly reasonable. 25 bucks out the door and I got two can drinks as well. The guy who seemed to be in charge checked on me at the end and was very friendly. Told me that they are always open this late. I will definitely be back again in the near future. My only complaint was that I didn't get to see the beautiful waitress smile one more time before I left.
Update... I do have a small gripe. I stopped by tonight and they were closed when Google says they are open. A bit disappointed because I was looking forward to the delicious food and waitresses. Taking...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. When we first got in, we were greeted and told to have a seat. The waiter then took our order for drinks and food. She then came out with our drinks, and I ordered a queso and chips. The queso was absolutely cheddar nacho cheese out of the can. They then brought our food out maybe 30 minutes later and the waiter forgot my sister‘s order . My niece ordered birria Tacos and she said they were pretty good. I ordered the chimichanga the rice and beans wear on the inside was hard and crunchy, and the outside of my tortilla was also over grilled so it was hard and crunchy. The sour cream that they brought out for my toppings was actually sour It was gone bad. My fiancé, chicken wings were cold and very tough like they were re-dropped or re-warmed. He took one bite and didn’t even eat the plate. We didn’t get an apology or anything. We just got the chicken wings taken off the bill and my sister never got her food and she wasn’t even mad about it after she saw what we had . I would rate this place a zero out of 10 plus there was no one else even in the restaurant!!! The music was so loud that we could not even hear each other. We had to literally yell in each other’s ear to hear what each other had to say, And it was dark they only had disco lights on. Save the trip I promise it’s...
Read moreI hoped I was discovering another place to get decent Mexican food in NOLA (Harahan) but I was so wrong. This place was terrible but I ordered my meal to go, otherwise I'd have refused to finish it. Worst salsa I've ever tasted for starters. Twenty minutes to wait, with just one other table occupied. Refried beans had a burnt taste, the rice had zero flavor, and the fried breast of chicken was a disaster with loose, soggy batter. Breast came unsliced, with just a cheap plastic fork. Thank goodness I had a sharp pocket knife to cut through it. This place may get customers when Reginelli's Pizza is overcrowded next door. But I doubt they will get repeat visitors. Definitely I'm not...
