I have no opinion of the food as I do not eat it, but I have a VERY strong negative opinion of their Florida Lottery service. This is one of the few places in mid-beach that sells lottery tickets. I USED to buy $200 worth of lottery tickets per month here. Well, I congratulate them on forever LOSING me as their customer.

Why? Here are the facts: I come in to cash a winning Fantasy 5 ticket, AND to BUY $50 worth of tickets. They KNOW me, I come in 2-3 times a week to buy lottery tickets. I give them my winning ticket to redeem. They try to scan it but the machine does not work. I TELL them it is a winning ticket. I scan it through the customer ticket reader machine and it SHOWS the ticket to be a winner. They SEE the reader PROVING the ticket is a winner.

I ASK them to type in the ticket number on their machine, which would automatically scan the ticket and dispense my win. They REFUSE. Not one lady, but THREE of them standing together. To type in the ticket number takes 30 SECONDS at MOST. I STILL buy my $50 worth of new tickets. THEN I ask them AGAIN to type in the serial ticket number of my winning ticket. They KNOW it is a winning ticket, they KNOW I am a regular customer. I JUST BOUGHT $50 of new tickets. And yet they AGAIN refuse to type in the ticket number, TELLING me to "go somewhere else" for that.

I go to another Florida Lottery retailer, they try the auto scan too, of course. It does not work. WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME, the clerk simply types in the serial number manually, 20 seconds of time, and the machine provides the winning ticket info to him, and he pays me what is owed me.

Okay, so, congratulations to Latin Cafe for LOSING the $2500+ of revenue that I WOULD have spent here over the next year! A perfect example of the WORST type of customer service!

And Latin Cafe SHOULD LOSE their Florida LICENSE to sell lottery tickets based upon their blatant REFUSAL to cash a...

Have been coming here since they've been established (at least 13-18 years), growing up in the Miami Beach area- it was great to have this place and Pollo Tropical to go, when we wanted some good ol spanish takeout food. They did me wrong the last time I placed an order, and the customer service was awful. They lied about the price for my order, and even though they admitted it and that it was their mistake, they would not budge about the already-paid price or the meal itself. Wrong price + wrong meal. I tried to make it right without any stress, asking simply for what I ordered, but they basically said nope too bad. So I told them listen I have to leave a negative review because this is just not how you do business (with not just a loyal lifetime customer- but any customer). If you make a mistake on someones price/order, you should correct it and be sorry about it, not argue back with the person. I guess its just the new age of business we live in, the customer is not right.. even when they literally admitted they were wrong in the situation. Lady even spoke to manager and assured them not to budge. Greed. Lost a loyal longtime...

Latin Cafe is a gem of a restaurant located in Mid Beach Miami, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

One of the things that stood out to me about Latin Cafe was the affordability of the food. Despite being located in a prime tourist destination, the prices were very reasonable, especially given the high quality of the food. I was able to enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank, which is always a plus in my book.

Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delicious. From the ropa vieja to the empanadas, each dish was cooked to perfection and had me licking my lips in satisfaction. One of my personal favorites was the pepper steak, which was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor, and the maduros (sweet plantains) were the perfect accompaniment, adding a touch of sweetness to balance out the savory flavors of the meal.

All in all, I highly recommend Latin Cafe to anyone looking for an affordable, cozy, and delicious dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...

In a touristy beach area that is overpriced, Latin Cafe is a breath of fresh air. It's a simple Mom n Pop restaurant but it serves it's purpose. The most expensive item is the Churrasco Skirt Steak at $18.99, all Shrimp dishes at $14.99 for 7pcs of shrimp and the large soups are $5-6 just to give an example of the menu prices. I ordered a dish that wasn't on the menu. Camarones al Ajillo with rice & beans and Maduros (sweet plantains) for $15.99. I also ordered a Cuban Soup, 2 chicken Empanadas, a croquette and a Papa Relleno. The rice was absolutely perfect! As you can see from my pics, I wiped the plate clean! The empanada melted in your mouth. It was so good I ordered another. I could eat here every day! Is the atmosphere like Mangos? No, but I'd have this anytime without being nickel and dimed especially if on a value budget. Another great point to note is that both the Collins Express Trolley and the Middle Beach Trolley stop close by. You'll see a lot of locals dining here. A side note: I was chatting with some locals and they shared a shot of Cortada with me. This place is like a little bit of home. I highly recommend. Salud

I came at around 8:30AM in a Wednesday the cafe type restaurant was around 1/2 full and everyone seemed to be having a great time. When we entered the restaurant we were not seated or treated in any manner. We walked up to the counter and said we would like to dine in here so they seated us and gave us some buttery bread which was a bit to salty for my taste. I ordered the roasted pork that I could chose 2 sides so I chose the rice and beans. The pork however was amazing and flavorful and the rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pork also only cost around $9 so it was well worth it. I also ordered the fish sandwich the next day which was well cooked and the fish was flavorful and the bread complemented it amazingly. Which was also $9 and worth it. Overall if you don’t mind slow service and your looking for a good cheap bite I would Totally recommend this place. And the parking is easy because there is a Walgreens which has free parking and is a 5-7 minute walk from there.

We came to Latin Cafe looking for a basic meal for not too much money. What we found was a very down to earth basic eatery with amazing flavor. The roast pork sandwich was a good amount of pork with onions and crispy string fries filling a plate sized section of Cuban bread. My wife enjoyed an order of pepper chicken which came with two sides. She chose the beans and rice and plantains. Again the flavor was better than expected. I recommend anyone looking to eat a quick meal in a diner atmosphere to check this place out. EDIT: The food was so good we returned the next day. We enjoyed grilled shrimp(camarones a la plancha) and shrimp creole(camarones enchilada) with plantains, white rice and black beans. Delicious food again. 10 ⭐️
