I have not recieved an email to my note below, do not stay here!!!
My stay at Lexington by hotel RL Miami Beach was one of the worst experiences. I am writing to you for a full refund. My stay was from Feb 10, 2022- Feb 13, 2022. Throughout my stay I spoke with the front desk manager, housing keeping staff, supervisors, and other staff members consistently- many would hang up the phone, punt me to the next shift personnel, or never follow-up.
After a long flight from Chicago to Miami, I first checked-in Feb 11 around 2 AM. When I arrived at room (719) - the beds were not made, the bathroom had not been cleaned, and the AC was not functional. As an asthmatic especially during COVID times, this is unacceptable. It is placing my life at risk in these types of conditions. Furthermore, as the night went on it became clear the walls were paper thin - I was left awake all night listening to my neighbors' deafening coughs. Night number one, can be summed up as a horrific start to a weekend that was far from relaxing due to Lexington by hotel RL's terrible facility.
The next day, Feb 11 around 10AM I talked to the front desk about the conditions of the room. The individual did not seem to be bothered to address the issue. Eventually after sharing the degree of filth and inhabitable nature of the room, the individual sent housekeeping and maintenance. Both insisted the conditions were fine and the AC was working. They turned the AC on blast and said they would return within 2 hours to see if it was working. I returned to the room a little before 2 hours waiting for them - no one ever showed up. Even more terrible, the AC stopped working by the time I entered the room around the 2 hour mark. This is extremely unprofessional. There was no follow through on the staff's part. There was no concern to address the issue with regards to the basic functionality of the room. I called the front desk, first they hung up on me and then when I called again they told me the next shift supervisor would call me.
Feb 12 10:30AM the room smells of marijuana from the neighbors. Again, as an asthmatic this is a very dangerous situation for my lung functions. Even still the front desk staff met with much resistance and repeatedly said "What do you want us to do about this?" - this is appalling behavior towards a guest. Finally after continuing to share the health risk and how it is jeopardizing my health, I was placed in room 110 - the room seemed better than before without the same issues. However, when it was time to take a shower the hot water was not working in the bathtub. I tried several different ways to use the facet and it did not work at all. Since I was leaving early AM the next day, I decided to put up with it.
Feb 12 around midnight, neighbors were yelling and screaming up and down the halls for several hours. I was leaving the hotel at 4AM to catch my flight back to Chicago. Since we shared a paper thin wall, I could hear them through the walls and the hallways. I called the front desk to share the continued unacceptable experiences I was having - the front desk hung up on me. When I called back, I was told to call around 8AM and talk to Cree. After arriving to Chicago, I called the hotel to discuss and was told Cree does not work on the weekends and Hector comes in at 3p and to call back. I called back to talk to Hector, he placed me on a hold hold twice and after 30 minutes Hector hung up on me.
Overall, this horrific, terrible experience is none that any guest should have to endure. I am extremely dissatisfied with my time at the hotel and I am looking for s refund. I came back to Chicago under more stress and concerned about my health after my weekend in Miami. I would have much preferred to have not come to this...
