We’ve eaten at this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. We even left five glowing reviews a year ago because the food was so fresh and flavorful. That’s exactly why my wife and I came back again for a late lunch after work. Sadly, this time was a major letdown. Even before ordering, we asked the server about the freshness of the laffa bread. She reassured us it had just come out, but when we received it, it was cold, stale, and fell apart like it had been frozen and just defrosted. It was anything but fresh. The hummus was extremely salty, to the point that I’m still burping from it hours later. The fries were clearly not homemade. You could taste that they were frozen and processed. Nothing sat well. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve had a disappointing experience here since that great visit last year. We really wanted to give it another chance, but this time it was just too far gone. It pains me to write this because I genuinely want to support kosher places in our community. I still believe this restaurant has potential. The food used to be amazing. I truly hope the owners read this and take it to heart. We came back with high hopes and left very disappointed. I’m leaving one of the old photos from our previous visit here so you can see how good it used to be. I sincerely hope they find their way back to that quality.

Even though I use to go on a regular basis I have to say that today I went there for an order to go. We ordered a shawarma pita, the guy who took the order apparently made a mistake, and hummus and tahini weren’t add to the sandwich. I came back to ask for a bit of hummus and tahini, and the guy was doubting to give it to me and even said that the pita does not come with that. What upsets me is the way he responded to such a simple thing and even asked permission to someone else to simply give me some hummus. Come on guys I spent $50 on 2 pitas and you are arguing about 2 cents. Not the way to give service. Now I know that next time I don’t have to bother you instead I can go to PITA LOCA. All the best !!!

So obnoxious. 1. On Friday they yelled at me and four other customers b/c they were overwhelmed. They said, it’s a forty minute wait, if you don’t like that, go somewhere else. So we did. One guy bought $300 of shabbos food. As Julia Roberts said, “big mistake.” 2. When we did go back and there was no line (presumably because they yelled at the remaining customers) the pitas and laffas they gave us were nearly empty. Since this was takeout we realized this only when we were at the airport. 3. They should expect more ppl come for takeout on Friday.

Spent $150 to leave in tears over being spoken to in such a rude manner, at least 4 employees ganging up on me (management included, presumably) when I pointed out my order was not ready 20 minutes after receiving the alert that my order was ready for pickup. The reason why that was irritating was because when I called 3 minutes after placing the order to cancel (I placed the order in the wrong pita hut location) I was essentially told it’s my problem and they won’t refund me. A $150 order was ready in 3 minutes, like magic! Ok, 5 if you include the 2 min hold time. I pleaded that my kids are hungry and I can’t spend an hour driving down there with them but they stood their ground. I can’t throw away $150 so I went out of my way to drive there from North Miami sitting in rush hour 5pm traffic for almost an hour with 2 hungry whining kids. So you can imagine my disappointment when I finally arrived (20 minutes after the app said my order is ready) and my order not ready. And on top of it, instead of being kind and professional towards a paying customer they had the audacity to treat me like I was somehow the problem. The cashier, clearly desperate to feel like one of the boys, joined them in bashing me for pointing out their dishonesty. And that’s all I did, I just pointed it out. I didn’t raise my voice or say anything rude or inappropriate but it was true — they said they couldn’t refund me 3 minutes after placing the order because it was ready, so why isn’t it ready almost an hour later? They said they gave my food away or something thinking I won’t come but… shouldn’t they have confirmed that with me? Or at least wait a reasonable amount of time before concluding I will not show up?

I can own up to placing my order with the wrong location. But I can’t justify their unkind and unprofessional behavior. I would give 1 star based on my experiences but I gave an additional star (2 in total) in recognition of the couple staff members who ended up showing some humanity at some point and brought my order to my car when it was finally packaged and ready, and even came back and gave us extra plates so my kids can eat in the car.

Respectfully, I will not be going back to...

Pros: Nice efficient wait staff (but busy). Food came fast. (6 min for appetizers, 15 min for main) Location. Decorated well. Mason jars for water, cute idea. ( Straws covered for hygiene) Food plated nicely.

Cons: Bathrooms were dirty, no toilet paper, no handsoap (employees must wash hands, how? ) Food was tasteless and made of the ready frozen stuff warmed up/deep fried, nothing homemade as advertised. Onion rings were the kineret/Noams frozen onion rings. You get about 10 for $10, serious rip off. Kids meal chicken nuggets were 3 tiny dried out chicken nuggets for $10. Fries were frozen deep fried with no flavor spices etc, not even salt (which we had none on our table). When requesting sauces, they had none except BBQ sauce, no garlic mayo or anything. No seasoned salt for fries. Burger had no flavor at all. Like just ground meat and that's it. Nothing mixed in, no spices , no sauce etc. Bun was a store bought soggy bun, partially frozen. Veggies on burger were minimal. Other random aspects that were dissapointing : One paper napkin per person. No spice caddy on every table. Minimal ice provided in water, so water was not cold. They were out of shawarma. Only served Lafa at lunch. No complimentary appetizer as many more expensive restaurants in this price range do.

In conclusion, price for value was ridiculous. Portion sizes small. Food was tasteless with no flavor. We came in super hungry and could not even finish our burger or other food. Kids barely touched anything. 18 percent tip was included in bill and then they asked for an additional tip on top of that. Was very dissapointed and felt very ripped off. Left hungry. If you like traditional plain food with no flavor and have extra $$ to spare, this...
