Roasters 'N Toasters — Restaurant in Miami Beach

We wanted to start our special day celebrating Valentine's Day with a first rate breakfast and chose this local favorite...well how could our day get off to a better start? (Impossible! Lol) We received the warmest of welcomes from Jonathan who made sure to kickstart our meal with two mugs of hot freshly brewed coffee. We tried their potato latkes which were cooked to perfection, I enjoyed mine with a dollop of sour cream and my partner preferred them with a little applesauce. French toast sticks with warm syrup went perfectly with our coffees(I couldn't resist dunking them!) My partner had the eggs and brisket which he loved,he gave me a try and I'll definitely order that next time. I chose a lighter option of eggs with a fresh spring mix salad and a double toasted pumpernickel bagel.... perfect! We also tried the traditional herring options (loved both versions!). Working in the service industry we noticed the fair amount of locals and the friendly rapport that servers had with their regulars,that repeat business says a lot about a place like Roasters and Toasters. Just before leaving Jonathan made sure to send me off with some hot coffee to go...thank God because after that incredible and filling breakfast I probably would've fallen asleep without it! Can't wait to return... maybe we'll do lunch next time so we can try some of their sandwiches or a hot matzoh ball soup! Anything worse than going out to eat and having the food not meet your expectations? Yes, having that meal to be the first of the day 😓. Today I tried this place for the first time, the truth is that I never had it as an option because I always look for recommendations of places a little further from my location. However, today I didn't want to drive far because I was really hungry and I trusted Google to choose a good brunch place based on its reviews. However, my experience was terrible, the food was not good at all, the bread wasn't fresh, the pastrani was dry, also it was not served as indicated on the menu, nor did it have the best presentation. The bagel had a huge amount of cream cheese (I know that sometimes it depends on the person's taste, but without lying I can say that I had to remove more than half of the cream cheese from my bagel to be able to taste it), added to this the customer service was terrible from the server.
