IHOP — Restaurant in Miami Springs

Saturday, November 11 @2pm. It was a Spanish old lady server (I don't know her name that's why I'm describing her) who was servicing my family. 1 adult, 1 teen, 1 child. She was beyond rude and lacked customer service. She took forever to take our order. She also took forever to bring drinks and she didn't remember our drinks and asked as she only brought 2 of the 3 drinks. I answered her question by again repeating my drinks are 2 Orange juices. She only brought out 1 oj of the 2 I ordered, 1 lemonade mango that the teen ordered. She said she will come back with it. So, the kids drink their juices and I wait for mines. I wait patiently. I haven't complained of the wait time I'm just having a conversation with my family. The restaurant did not look busy. Again she took long and came back with the food and not the other glass of oj. She brought a small kids cup of oj. I'm 27 I'm not drinking a kids cup. Right there I let her know I ordered 2 glasses of oj. She said no, I told her she should correct the issue. She refused and grabbed my son's glass of orange juice while he was drinking it out from his hands/mouth. He was drinking from a straw. He is a kindergartener. She took the drink. That is so rude! I told her you don't take a drink from a child. I also told her I'm leaving. (We never touched the food). She said she doesn't care. The worst customer service ever. Never did she come back to our table to check on us. She could of corrected her mistake by bringing another drink. We would have paid and ate. But she rather for us to walk out without paying. I don't understand why is it so hard to bring out a glass of juice and why did it take long. If she was gonna bring a kids cup why didn't she do that from the start? Why did it take so long? I feel bad for the cooks. She wasted their time and mines. We left at 3pm it should not take an hour to take/get our orders out. This was our first time at this location, this is my local I hop. This was avoidable. Horrible customer service.

--- Unrelated but afterwards we went to Starbucks in miami springs. I ordered 1 drink. My son was thirsty and the barista gave me 2 extra drinks without me asking for it. He offered it. He didn't know anything about what we had just experienced at ihop. I believe this was just positive karma.

When we were seated, there was crumbs all over the seats, and table needed to be wipe down. Noticed that the floors was very messy and haven't been swept in a while. Looked like there was only one server, and one cook. Thats not far to the staff, and/or customers. I ordered chicken and waffles. Then server comes and tells us they don't have any waffles. So I said pancakes is fine. Then my food comes and the chicken is so over cooked, you can clearly see how hard it is. Idk why the cook or the server would even send/bring food out like that. My chicken was so hard, it made a ting noise when I hit the plate with the chicken. So I asked for new chicken. Took forever for him to bring syrup to the table. My new chicken came before I got the syrup. Like how? Pancakes was cold by the time I got the syrup. When it did finally come. It was in a bowl, instead of a syrup dispenser. That is definitely not acceptable, and getto my I add. I cant believe how bad the service is hear, being right next to the airport. Im not one to drink coffee, but the spout on that coffee pot looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, just refilling it without cleaning it very disgusting. I noticed that when I was taking the pictures. Wish i would have seen that before I ordered the food. I definitely wouldn't have eaten there. If you to lazy to clean out a coffee pot, I can only imagine what the cook wear looks like. Pancakes look and taste like he didn't clean the grill before making my pancakes. It clearly shows on my pancakes in the picture. There's black burnt residue from the grill cooked into my pancakes. I will never go there again. Please stay away. You have been warned. This place was the worst restaurant I have ever been. We just got into town for vacation and wanted start out with breakfast after a long flight. It was close to the airport and not to busy. We were seated and the waiter (Francisco) went to get the coffee. He brings back this coffee carafe that looks like someone pouted strawberry syrup all over, puts on the table and walked away. My daughter was like daddy the coffee pot is dirty. I said its just the outside I need coffee. He comes back 10 minutes later and said what would you like to order, I gave him the order and he was gone in a blink of an eye. Ten more minutes goes by and he walks by the table to drop of the check. I said we haven't received our food yet and he responded as he quickly walked away its coming. At this point you think I would be losing my wind and storming out but I really don't have the energy and just wanted my coffee because its 7am and we just spent the last 12 hours on a airplane. Guess what, ten more minutes goes by and the food finally arrived. Well the food wasn't that great either and I already finished my 1 cup of coffee and it was time to leave before I loose my cool. I gave my daughter a $20 bill to pay the tab that was $19 and some change and she went up to register while I look for some singles to leave on the table. Well as I stood up my daughter walked up to me and said he won't take the money because it wasn't enough to cover his tip.......I am going to be pleasant and say I won't be back and IHOP you have...
