LA Sweetz Cupcakes — Restaurant in Miami Springs

Listen...as much as I go to 107 Taste how have I not seen or heard of this place? This is like a little hidden gem with delicious cupcakes. It is taking everything in me not to drive back.

So after a quick Yelp search to satisfy my sweet tooth, I came across La Sweetz. Naturally I'd read the reviews beforehand and decided that I wanted to give this place a try after getting my nails done. Boy did it not disappoint.

From the minute I walked in, the workers were attentive. The young lady thoroughly explained every cupcake to me and I was sold at "strawberry cheesecake". I ended up getting two cupcakes because for checking in I received a free cupcake. I got the strawberry cheesecake cupcake and the red velvet cupcake. I usually do not eat red velvet cupcakes/cake outside of my own kitchen because others think red velvet is chocolate cake with red food coloring (no that is not a real red velvet cake despite what you've been told). However I could tell from the color that they did not have cocoa in them although the workers couldn't tell me for sure.

Once I got home, I devoured those cupcakes. They were minis so nothing to feel guilty about. Both cupcakes were super moist and spongy. The icing on both were delicious as well especially the strawberry cheesecake one. The icing was cheesecake flavored with strawberry drizzle. The actual cupcake though didn't have any cheesecake flavoring to it at all. It tasted more like a vanilla cupcake with the cheesecake icing.

I think the next time I will try the guava and get another red velvet or two red velvets. Regardless of what I try, I will...

I've been getting cupcakes for my son from LA Sweetz since he's 4 years old. He's turning 11 soon and I recently placed an order for him to celebrate with his Scout friends.

There was a small snag with my order (things happen sometimes and that's ok) but Letty, the owner, went out of her way to make things right and went above and beyond to make sure his bday went off without a hitch.

We are super picky when it comes to sweets and desserts because we're not fans of super, overly sweet desserts, with crazy artificial colorings or flavorings. Not necessarily for health reasons. It just doesn't taste good, in our opinion. Leaves too much of a chemical aftertaste.

But LA Sweetz doesn't miss the mark. Their cupcakes are always a crowd pleaser! It doesn't matter who we celebrate with, they are always so satisfied and absolutely devour them each and every time. We just wouldn't think of ordering any other cupcakes!

Had a cake made there and I was asking to have my cake made by hand and all they can do is out stencils on it , finally got them to do everything by hand and my leo lioness cake had ears of a cat ears instead of a lion ears which I had to ask the girl to give me a knife to alter the ears into Lion ears, her nose looked like a heart, the eyes I wanted was the unicorn in there business card which I mentioned numerous of times and it was all drawn in there notebook which I did, the stencil with her name was falling apart because the happy birthday had better structure then the name itself, cake making is not good with them, they are delicious, but I felt my instructions weren't met after being there for an hour and a half, only thing right about the cake was the body and the crown I had to buy which they couldn't make, and my combo in flavor was awesome so flavor was right other wise I would of given one star customer service I was treated very well but communication wasn't...
