During our three-day weekend getaway in Miami, we were lucky to stumble upon a true hidden gem. Typically, we like to try different restaurants for each meal during our vacations to experience a variety of flavors. But after our first visit to Kuba Kitchen, we couldn’t help but return every day because it was just that good. From the atmosphere to the cleanliness, food, and service, everything was outstanding. On our first day, we had a late lunch and, despite being tempted, we had to skip dessert because we were too full from the meal and appetizers. As the day went on, all I could think about were the desserts we’d missed out on from the menu. The next morning, we made sure to be the first customers at Kuba Kitchen. I was determined to enjoy a dessert with my morning coffee, so we patiently waited for the restaurant to open. My husband and I sat at the bar, where we were greeted by Wendy, who cheerfully prepared the perfect cup of coffee. Aldo, the owner, also came over to chat with us before his morning rush. Both of them were incredibly warm, and we enjoyed our conversations with them so much. We shared stories about our cultural backgrounds—my husband and I are of Mexican descent—and had an enriching exchange about our cultural similarities and differences. We were captivated by their fond memories of growing up in "el campo" in Cuba, the beautiful country they call home. After talking about food for so long, we were ready for more Cuban cuisine, so we decided to stay for lunch. This was the first time we had dessert as an appetizer! On our last day in Miami, we had an early afternoon flight, so we stopped by Kuba Kitchen for a quick to-go meal, which was carefully packaged. We also exchanged contact information with Wendy, hoping to reconnect if she ever visits our hometown. We came for the delicious food, and not only got that, but we also left with a new friend. We wish nothing but success for Kuba Kitchen, as they are clearly putting in the effort to create a remarkable dining experience, and it truly shows. Without a doubt, Kuba Kitchen will be our go-to spot every time we...
Read moreDuring our retirement vacation, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Kuba Kitchen, located at 3640 NW 7th St, Miami, FL 33125. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for a delightful late afternoon meal. Our waitress was exceptionally attentive and patient, especially as I practiced my Spanish while ordering. She encouraged me throughout the meal, continuing our conversation in Spanish and motivating me to "get it right," which added a personal touch to our experience.
We started with the Quesito Frito as an appetizer, and it was almost a meal in itself. The dipping sauce added a touch of sweetness that made each bite delectable. For our main courses, I chose the Vaca Frita—shredded flank steak marinated with a secret mojo and cooked with onions—accompanied by fried yuca on the side. The dish was fantastic, bursting with authentic Cuban flavors. My wife opted for the Kuba Fried Rice with chicken, another splendid selection that did not disappoint. The food was brought out quickly, and the authenticity of the cuisine was undeniable.
The sangria was fabulous, with a generous serving that complemented our meals perfectly. Throughout our dining experience, the staff's attentiveness and the waitress's encouragement made our visit even more enjoyable. Kuba Kitchen is a mandatory stop for anyone seeking genuine Cuban cuisine in Miami. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning on our next visit...
Read moreAs a local, we have been hearing of this place for sometime and finally gave it a try. I wish we had tried it earlier. The food was amazing! Everything is fresh and made to order. They cook authentic Cuban, like Grandma would! The service was amazing! Wendy served us and her service was second to none, made us feel right at home. The food: The sampler was great and a must have! The Ropa Vieja was awesome! The Bistec a la Milanesa was unique! The Shrimp was delicious and fresh! The Chicken in mushroom sauce was fantastic! We also heard a lady in the the table next to us rave about the Vaca Frita, which I will personally try next time because it looked great. For desert we had the Tres Leches which was divine, sweetness was just right and juicy as well. The restaurant is cozy with nice Cuban decor. A hidden gem in my opinion. We will definitely be going back. If you are close to the airport and want authentic Cuban food before jumping on a flight or getting great Cuban food once you land in Miami, you’ve got to stop here. And if you’re a local and want to try some good Cuban food like Abuela would do it, check this place out, you...
