🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴The used to be a cool place to hang out with the kids but now a days you must consider several inconveniences before you get there. First, the waiting. Arrive :45 minutes to an hour prior opening because once the park is full, you have to wait outside in the sun until someone leaves. Heads up: Usually noone leaves until the end of the day.
Secondly, there are a lot of chairs but barely shadow areas. This is critical for me considering this is a kiddy waterpark and babies and toddlers need shadow to avoid heat stroke. Big failure in my opinion.
Third, the food prices is expensive. $10 for a hotdog without drinks, for instance. They keep ot simple, almost everything is $10: one hotdog, one burger, one order of chicken wings, etc. You cannot bring your food and cannot exit then re-enter to the park so my suggestion is to eat a healthy big breakfast and try to just have drinks in the park.
Next, this has been a very wet summer. Due weather conditions and covid unemployment, this people are usually short staff. Rainy days is some of the main reasons why they open only Saturdays and Sundays. Sometimes they close early or won't open at all.
Lastly, the staff are more "kids". Young, inexperienced and intolerant staff. Just like working in a school, it requires people used to work with kids or willing to keep their best attitude. We all know is not easy (thats why moms come here! To chiiiiiiiiill.) Do you see bad attitude at theme parks? No! These young staff needs to behave better or go work in a nightclub.
The park itself is amazing. Ive been coming here for years and we dont complaint. After covid, everything changed. Just be prepared and have fun. It is a nice waterpark, clean and comfortably small for little kids. Get ready, arrive early, protect your skin and stay...
Read moreThe last time we visited this water park was back in 2016 and we have always loved it up until yesterday (7/31/22). I\we did not like the way it was set up..they had us wait in line..in the hot sun for over 30 mins before being able to enter..what they were doing was waitinh until a few people left & then allowing othes to go in..it was ridiculous..we lost so much time because of this. Then they only played spanish\Hispanic music as if that was the only race there..they need to be able to satisfy all guest\visitors. Then 15 mins before closing they made an announcement making everyone aware that if they needed to use the bathroom to go ahead & do so because they would be closing everything, so my kids headed to the bathroom and told me that once they got there the clean up lady (black) didn't want to let anyone in because they were cleaning up already so one of the fathers (Spanish) had to speak up and then she let everyone in..by this time I made it to the bathroom & we were only able to use 3-4 stalls because they had already cleaned the others, so we had to wait in a line AGAIN..smh..we couldn't even use the sink are, because they were cleaning them. The clean up lady (black) was stating that she was tired and had been there since 9am and was ready to leave at 5pm. That was so unprofessional to tell us. That was not our problem. Although we enjoyed the water & slides, we may not ever...
Read moreI recently visited Grapeland Water Park to inquire about hosting a birthday celebration, and I can’t say enough about the incredible experience I had — especially thanks to Jennifer and Franielka! From the moment I walked in, both of them went above and beyond to make sure I had every detail I needed. Their knowledge, patience, and warm, welcoming attitude truly made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Whether it was information about reservations, amenities, or general park guidelines, they answered every question with a smile and unmatched professionalism. It’s rare to find customer service this genuine and thorough!
The park itself is clean, well-organized, and clearly run by a team that cares. The lifeguards were not only attentive and well-trained, but they were also kind and approachable — which made the environment feel both safe and family-friendly. I was especially impressed by how alert they were at all times while still creating a fun, energetic vibe for everyone.
