I've been coming to this restaurant for a few weeks now. I wanted to try several dishes before writing a review. Today's dish was "picante de carne" which was the special of the day, and it was amazing! The food here is always amazing! All the staff member are related, it's a family run restaurant. They have their regular menu (see pictures) and daily specials which change regularly. I've read several reviews, and I agree with the few things. 1. Their service isn't the best. 2. They don't speak English. 3 Menu is in Spanish. I do speak/read Spanish but had to translate a few things since I'm not to familiar with Peruvian food. I would definitely recommend this place, how a few things to be aware of. As I previously stated, Spanish menus, employees only speak Spanish. Restaurant is in an up coming area, and parking is limited. But, if you can over look all those things (which you should)... This place is awesome. And their coladas aren't to bad.. 😉

Let me explain this to many that are not Peruvian. When you go here, you are going to experience Peruvian neighborhood culture. You aren’t going to a place where the chef has been to culinary school or worked under a respected chef. The food here is made from the heart, with love and the recipes are made from their traditions. I love their food and experience it offers. I know coming here it’s not going to be like going to LaMar but this is great in its on way. Go there on a Friday to experience live music and you’ll get a feel that you are in a normal, humble, working class area in Peru. Very humble facility that seems family owned and operated.

We went for the first time for the Lurin breakfast and it was good, could’ve been better if the coffee cup was bigger and the pan francĂ©s too.The bread was too small to make a sandwich, but anyways, we were satisfied. We decided to order arroz con pato to go, when we got home and open the container, I regretted I did, the pato was so small I thought it was joke. For 15 dollars a plate, you would expect to be a decent piece of pato, but all I got was a small piece which was mostly bone and skin. Very dissapointed.

Disappointing Experience at a Once-Promising Peruvian Restaurant

I recently visited this Peruvian restaurant and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The service was horrendous; it took over 45 minutes for anyone to take our order, and during that time, the server actually stopped to attend to another table, leaving us hanging mid-order! I felt completely ignored.

When the food finally arrived, the kitchen clearly needed a deep clean; it was dirty and unappetizing. We ordered lomo saltado, which was not only late but cold when it finally reached our table. My daughters ordered ceviche and chicken fingers. To our surprise, the ceviche was served warm instead of chilled, and the chicken fingers were hard with cold, soggy French fries.

As for my husband’s fried fish chunks, they came out with a long black hair in the dish – absolutely disgusting! We also noticed that no water was placed on our table during our entire visit, which added to our frustration.

The worst part was when we asked for the bill. It took over 30 minutes to receive it, and to our shock, we were overcharged by $2 per plate! On top of that, they included a mandatory 15% tip after the terrible experience we endured.

Waitress was rude and nasty and there was no music !

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was an infuriating experience, and I left feeling utterly disappointed. Save your time and money; there are much better dining...

Stepping into Ranchito Mi Peru 2 felt like walking into a beloved family home, exuding an incredibly warm and inviting atmosphere. My recent visit was an absolute delight, truly a 10/10 experience for authentic Peruvian cuisine. Every dish we sampled was simply outstanding, showcasing the vibrant flavors and rich culinary heritage of Peru. The portions were wonderfully generous, ensuring a truly satisfying meal.

My personal highlight was undoubtedly the lomo salteado – it was cooked to perfection, tender, incredibly flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The ingredients were fresh, and everything arrived hot and beautifully presented. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding so much to the positive essence of our meal. She was prompt, engaging, and made us feel truly valued. The service was seamless, from ordering to receiving our dishes, making the entire dining experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. I left feeling utterly content and impressed. Ranchito Mi Peru 2 is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Peruvian food coupled with genuinely excellent service in a charming setting. I’m already planning...
