Good, but... Nice shop. Nice selection. Nice prices.
The yeast donuts are soft and fluffy and when iced aren't too sweet. I loved seeing cream horns on the offer, as it's been years since I've run across them in a local bakery. The pastry was crispy and flakey, but the filling was super sweet; so much so, that when eaten with the sugared exterior if the horn, it was all a bit too much for me. Nevertheless, good to see some laminated dough work on offer!
(And here it comes...) I asked the two store employees if their no-bake cookies were gluten-free. They paused, looked at one another, and answered, "I don't know." They went on to state that they didn't know what he ingredients we're because they were made at "our other location." They went on to guess that they weren't GF because nothing else they sell in the shop is. I let them know that no-bake traditionally are gluten -free, but if they didn't know what was in the cookies, I understand. I don't blame these two for not being able to answer my simple question...I blame ownership and leadership.
Employees who are smart about their business are better equipped to deliver...

They never have butter for the muffins. One time I purchased a cookie sandwich (two chocolate chip cookies with icing in the center) and when I tried it the frosting was soured/bad. Then I was just given the iPad to sign for my client and got a have a good day as she went back to talk to her co-workers. I watched as new customers came in the door and were greeted with cordial good morning wishes. I did contact the business via their FB messenger app and expressed my displeasure on my experience.
