The GM is very rude and vindictive. My son and I entered the restaurant today and my son was talking to businesses about his after school program and was trying to do a prepared speech to the GM and she cut him off before he could get a word out and said no soliciting. After I returned from the bathroom my son looked very sad because she had mistreated him. He is a young African-American boy age 12 and the sweetest person never rude. When I asked for the information to corporate and provided my company information she was about to give it to me but when I told her I would leave a review she got visibly upset. She told him he could talk to people, but didn’t specify whether he could talk to customers or employees, and he misunderstood her. When he went to approach a customer she said no, and I told him let’s go because she clearly was biased against us because of our skin tone and we were not the ideal customer she wanted to deal with. Well, I got a call from my boss that this GM complained about my son and made up a story to justify her rudeness. I apologize but I cannot fake a smile when someone is so rude they won’t give a child a chance to introduce himself and speak to the manager, who was the intended target in the first place. She even told my boss that I asked around to see if she really was the GM. Honestly she did not behave in a respectful fashion to a child who gets his feelings hurt when people are rude to him. I am a mother and will always protect mine, so I would like everyone to know that this lady is very spiteful and tried to get me and my son in trouble just for trying to hold a conversation about a cause that she clearly failed to learn more about. She jumped to conclusions instead of hearing him out. If she didn’t want what he was offering Oh well. But to actually call and complain was surprising and disheartening. I thought we came far as a people, I guess some can’t...
Read moreThis place should be closed for health code violations. The setting is nice but the food, kitchen, cookware and how they run the kitchen is disgusting! I placed an order for pick up, well they were busy, so they had a make shift wobbly coffee table set up by the bar acting as a food prep station! There were 2 women and 1 man waiting for their food and the man (who was also coughing all over the food and touching it) decided to open a Box and start digging though the sandwich in it to see if it was his!!! Well guess what, it was my order!!! The waiter saw this and not only did he not stop the man from pulling apart other peoples food with his nasty germy fingers, but he actually tried to give it to me once the other waiter came out with the man's other sandwhich. YUCK! So not only had my food been sitting out, with the lid open, not heated, being poked through by strangers and coughed on, but they saw it, saw the look of disgust on my face, and then they tried to serve it to me! I told the waiter off and left without even getting my money back, I was so disgusted. I should have known better since I had been there 2 other times and had a bad experience on both occassions, one time they brought two small dishes out for our wings and once we separated them found black goop all over the bottom of one and the top of the one below..gross. Another time before that some employee had their daughter there running in and out of the kitchen and bar touching everything after whiping her snot all over her shirt sleeve and hand. It really is a disgusting place and needs to be closed. Do NOT go here unless you just get drinks and even then check your glass...I will never go there again. Seriously they get away with it because people are usually too busy to notice or care but sit back and watch what goes on and how bad the food is and I promise you...
Read moreI enjoyed Chumps in the Pre-covid days, if you can remember those. It's long been a nice place to hang out with friends and share a good meal in downtown Miamisburg. Handy casual sit down place, close to the other activities downtown. It's a relaxed atmosphere for a well - prepared version of "sports bar" fare - burgers, wings, pizza, and such. The food is a slightly elevated version, made well. The ribs are very good, and I've enjoyed dental of their sandwiches - the classic chicken, Buffalo chicken wrap, and the pork chip sandwich come to mind. Not sure I've had anything bad here. You can order for takeout, and have some good food from here at home, if you wish. Their addition is the covered/uncovered patio area a little while back has been well done, with enough shelter to keep you comfortable and patio heaters to keep you warm. For those that are worried about covid exposure, this may be an especially good option as long as it's warm enough for the open patio. Even after the cold closes the open patio area, they are set up to try to provide as much safety as they can. They require masks as you enter, or move through the restaurant. The tables are spaced to provide social distancing, and staff wear masks. So - if you're willing to risk in - restaurant dining, this is set up about as well as it can be. Overall - a good choice for good food. Order for pickup, delivery, or dine in if that's something you are willing to do at this point....
