Taco Bell — Restaurant in Michigan City

If I could give this 0 stars I would give this 0 stars. It really takes a lot to irritate me as I am pretty patient and understanding, having worked in food and service jobs before. Nevertheless...I went to this particular Taco Bell location at 630 on a Friday. They have gotten my order wrong or missing items several times in the drive up so I wanted to go inside to order. However, I went up to the door and lo and behold for whatever reason the doors were locked. AT 630 ON A FRIDAY. Ok, whatever...I went through the drive up where I placed my order, everything was correct on the screen and they had repeated it back to me. Over $20 worth of food and drinks I had ordered for my family. The line was extremely slow, I was in the drive thru for probably 20-25 minutes with just a few cars ahead of me. I got my food and drinks, quickly checking everything, however I guess I didnt check well enough. I drove the 15 minutes home, to find that half of my order was wrong, and there were also missing items. I decided to call to let them know i would be coming back. I got back to the location, and once again, because the lobby was closed, I had to wait almost 30 minutes again in line just to get the food I actually had paid extra for when I ordered. Not only was the order wrong, the wait time absolutely ridiculous for a drive thru, the lobby closed, but at the end of it all, my food wasnt even warm. I had to warm it up in the microwave at home. This particular location constantly has issues like this and I dont know whether it's due to lacking management and staffing, them just not generally caring whatsoever about the service and food they provide, or what, but it really makes me think hard about going there ever again. I would not recommend this taco Bell to anybody. They will not be getting my family's service whether it's the last place to eat or not and we used to be regulars after the situation that occurred tonight. Me and my beautiful family drove through the drive threw placed our order and then proceeded to leave after we got our food. After leaving we discovered we never got back our bank card. So we contacted the business and informed them of this mishap and they reassured us it was there. So we went by to get it. My husband went in as i was sitting in the car with my children. When he went in there he spoke with an "Angela" or so she said that was her name as she didn't have her name badge on. She told him we have your card. Do you have your Id? So he came to the car to get my Id and she would not release my card. So i had him get in the car with our children as i went in with my id to get my own card back and she would not release it still. So law enforcement had to be called to get my card which is very sad due to the fact that they have other more important priorities and duties to tend to then something so little and petty as this and not allowing us to get our form of payment that they kept in the first place. Never once were they apologetic as this was their mistake and we had to make another trip to pick the card back up. Instead this so called manager was snarky, rude and smerked and laughed at us. What a great person to have manage and be the face of your company/resturant...

I hate to even give this horrible place even the 1 star! Absolutely WORST taco bell establishment EVER! I am a door dasher and any time I have to go to Michigan city to dash I cringe badly if I see a request to pickup at this taco bell. You will litterally wait an HOUR and that is not exaggerating at all. 1 hour in the drive through with just a few cars ahead of you. It is completely impossible to pickup and actually deliver anyone's orders if they order from taco bell in Michigan city and this is not based in a one night experience this is each and every time I go to Michigan city. Not one time have I been able to complete a delivery without having to unassign the order because of an incredibly long wait. I feel so sorry for people that live in that city that want taco bell late at night. Why even have the place open when it is like that? Just stop the door dash being allowed once they close the lobby because nobody in there right mind is going to wait that long to make a few bucks. I hope this gets to someone in the taco bell higher ups so that something...
