My favorite Sushi is golden monkey, to me this seems like a dessert Sushi. I can't get enough of it. I always have a pleasant time and everybody is very respectable. The décor on the inside is awesome.
!:UPDATE:! 6-14-2024 Hello to all, while the review below is accurate. Placing a 1 start is hurtful to a business and I do not wish to be apart of it. I offer my sincerest apologies. That situation should not define the amaziness within those walls. All cultures are different and are not always understood, especially in regards to tipping. Amazing food and amazing people.
!:UPDATE:! 1-14-2022 2:19pm I just had the worst experience in a long time. The meal was great as usual however after paying the check. The sever asked me to place a tip on the receipt. (This time around I didn't have extra to tip and on a limited income, my daughter took me out to eat and I decided to cover the bill). The sever insisted I place a tip on the receipt. I explained that this time around I don't have extra to tip. The server (name excluded) then started to get upset and said I'm being disrespectful by not tipping. I explained that I don't have extra this time around to tip. She said well this is a credit card and again insisted to put a tip. She then said that they charge a 18 percent tip on the card. I said that is nothing I ever heard about. I then asked my daughter if she had a dollar to tip and the sever got upset and continued to say to place it on my credit card ( it was debit card). I then said you know what enough of this being forced to tip, why I can't tip this time around is personal, I will not continue to explain this and took the dollar out of my daughter's hand. She then told me to leave, to go and I was disrespectful and I turned and said you are not being professional and she then shooed me out with hand gestures.
Tipping is a courtesy...
Read moreDuring a recent errand run, I decided to grab a quick lunch from Sake Asian Fusion, and my experience was middling at best. The restaurant deserves commendation for its efficient and user-friendly online ordering system, and I was drawn to their generous lunch special, which offered soup and a choice of any three sushi rolls from a list of options at a very reasonable price.
However, my experience took a downturn upon my arrival at the restaurant. The establishment, which occupies the shell of an old Applebee's, is somewhat depressing. The fixtures were weathered, the lighting dim, and the general atmosphere was one of disrepair. It was a far cry from the vibrant and enticing ambiance one might expect from an Asian fusion restaurant.
Upon entering, I found myself waiting awkwardly at the front for several minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence—let alone the customers who came in behind me. My order wasn't quite ready, and I was told to wait, which I did for about five minutes before I could check out.
Once I got home and unpacked my food, the presentation was generally decent, with one significant exception. One of my spicy rolls was half tempura, which turned out to be a dry, crumbly mess that was wholly unappetizing. This mishap also resulted in my soy sauce transforming into a tempura sludge, further dampening my meal experience. The accompanying soup, while warm, was not hot, which raised a few eyebrows considering the other quality issues I encountered.
In conclusion, my lunch from Sake Asian Fusion was a bit of a letdown. While their online ordering system and lunch specials were a high point, the lackluster ambiance, service, and some aspects of the food quality left much to be desired. It's been a while since my last visit to Sake, and based on this experience, it might be a while...
Read moreWe came on vacation and ate here a total of 5 times. The first time we ordered only appetizers (and in my mom’s case, drinks). Day 1: I had the Crab Rangoon, the Crispy Calamari, the Miso Soup, and The Dragon sushi roll. Everything was amazing; I had never had crab rangoons or eel before, and I found it to be delicious. The Calamari was not my favorite, to be honest, but that is a personal matter: still, the calamari was good. The miso soup, unlike any I have eaten before, includes small squares of boiled egg whites (delicious!). Day 2: I once again ordered the Dragon Sushi Roll, the Crab Rangoons, and the Miso Soup. For my main course, I ordered the seasame chicken (my mom ordered the Orange chicken). The plates were large and both came with broccoli and white rice. Everything was delicious: even what I took home and reheated in the microwave. Day 3: still ordered the Rangoons, the sushi roll, and the miso soup. I ordered their Chashu Ramen. Delicious noodles with pork, bean sprouts, a boiled egg, and the best broth I have ever had. Day 4: rangoons, dragon sushi, and miso soup with an order of Seafood Panfried Noodle. I am not a fan of egg noodles but I tried it anyways. It was delicious, although a bit bland. I added some duck sauce and the taste was very much improved. Day 5: rangoons, sushi, and miso soup. Once again, I ordered the Chashu Ramen bowl. The server was very nice and friendly ( we had the same person all 5 days). The atmosphere was very inviting: not very loud pop music, sufficient lighting (nothing too bright but not too dark), beautiful decorations, and some Chinese geographical history on the walls. The place was very clean, including the plates...
