We waited 10 minutes to be seated. We then had to ask our waiter for us to be able to order drinks. They were not able to make a spicy Margarita which was odd since all it is is regular Margarita and you muddle a jalapeno in it. We should have known then that things weren't going to go well. When he brought our drinks he went to leave again and we stopped him and asked if we could go ahead and order an appetizer. I thought it was odd that it took so long to get chips and salsa as well. We didn't get those until right before the appetizer came. He started to leave again and we asked if we could go ahead and order our food since we had already waited so long. We had already looked at the menu for waiting to be seated as well as waiting for drinks, chips and appetizer ordered our food. There were three of us at the table. We went through three containers of chips and three salsas plus our large appetizer waited over an hour and our food never arrived. Never got refills on drinks. Didn't even come by to check on us nor apologize for the delay in everything. After waiting over an hour we decided just to go up to the front pay for our drinks, pay for our appetizer and leave. It was ridiculous. The restaurant wasn't even busy. There were at least three or four other people serving and the whole experience was just very odd. I've worked in a Mexican restaurant. All of the ingredients are basically the same thing. If you're having a taco, if you're having a burrito, if you're having nachos basically the same ingredients in a different form, it should not take over an hour for burritos...
Read moreTo start with the service was atrocious, we walked in they sat us down and waited almost 15 minutes for our waiter to come back around after bringing drinks to ask what we wanted to order. The waiter was less than helpful especially when we had menu questions, it's almost like we were idiots for not understanding a foreign menu. Finally our order is in he didn't read it back to us, we had a couple special requests, just to see if they were accommodating... that was our first mistake. We ordered queso to go with the chips and salsa that didn't come until our entrees came and had a film over the top of it like it had been sitting since we ordered it. Our hostess brought our food mumbled a few words and literally threw our plates on the table not even to the right people. Our drinks were empty most of the service and we got checked on 1 time in the matter of 45 minutes. Now the food was excellent we got 3 renditions of burritos, various shapes and sizes, impeccable. The food was excellent, homemade, and authentic. I'll never go back in there for a sit down service because that was a joke but I will...
Read moreI unfortunately didn’t have a chance to take any pictures the day I went but I guess that just goes to show how “meh” the food was.
The service was slow and took about 10 minutes to get seated even though the restaurant was at half capacity. The servers seemed stressed and didn’t really seem like they preoccupied with a thousand other things.
The atmosphere was outdated and a bit dingy to the point it was hard to read the menus. The place looked somewhat well kept but then again it was almost too hard to analyze much.
The food I can only really describe as being better than school cafeteria food. The lettuce was limp, the beef was greasy and the shredded chicken was lacking a lot of flavor. The queso was more like cheese milk and lacked potential.
Overall I wish I could give this place more stars because it truly was a good place to eat at one time, but with the rise of Mexican American food establishments in NWI there are other choices. If I go back I will update this review but I don’t see...
