Frank's Pizza & Italian Restaurant (Marshall's Creek) — Restaurant in Middle Smithfield Township

Take out only review. Just moved from Lehigh Valley PA, at Franks down there many times, many different locations, always great. Milford Rd. Franks however was not so great. The pizza was great as normal except the crust (bottom) was limp, oily, not the normal crisp. The sauce wasn’t the same consistency & not as flavorful as the others(Franks Pizzas). The spaghetti & meatballs, the meatballs were mush. The Broccoli Rabe was not cooked properly, barely cooked, hard to even cut. The kicker was, I picked it up and had to ask for plasticware, the sauce was a blob on top of the spaghetti, I asked for more, he charged me $2.50 for a side cup (not even a soup cup size), I asked for parm cheese & that was $1.50 more (the size of a salad dressing for a side salad) meanwhile every table has a glass shaker of it for guests to use. Hey! Welcome to Franks Pizza where all portions are big! I've been to this spot three times now during my visit to the Pocono Mountains area and I'm always very pleased with their delicious Italian and American dishes! Courteous staff members, spacious restaurant with plenty of tables and seating, lots of parking (as it is located inside a shopping plaza), and very clean.

My family has enjoyed the pizza (various types), the Chicken Alfredo in its regular and kids size (both are filling), their calzones, empanadas (if you're in the mood for a bit of Latin flavor), spaguetti and meatballs, Chicken Parm, cheesesteaks, wings, salads, and finger licking good garlic knots! This place never disappoints and you're guaranteed to leave there with a full stomach and ready for a nap. 😆 Has quickly become one of our favorite spots!

Absolutely HORRIBLE! I ordered Chicken Saltimbocca, (it means “salt in the mouth”). The gravy was so bland it tasted like watered down, “water and flour” and the chicken was tough. As soon as the waitress came over and asked how the food was, I told her I didn’t like it and wouldn’t be eating it. I took two bites and gave my husband one. She immediately said, she could do anything because we took a bite and didn’t like it, that the owner would say we would have to pay. She apologized but said she could do nothing. I said, “That might be the most expensive $18.00 he ever charged.” I don’t mind paying for a bad meal but you don’t even give a courtesy to ask why we didn’t care for it, or can I do something else for you.
