I heard There was a new halal spot in the area so you know I had to run in there and check it out . Today's adventure brings me to Yummy Kebab in the East Stroudsburg/Marshalls Creek-ish area . So most times when I go to a new halal spot , I like to get the mix platter that's lamb and chicken over rice.

I will start out with the one con right away and it just depends on how you feel about it, but the platter and the 20oz soda was $19. I thought that was a bit steep . With that said , both proteins were absolutely delicious. The rice was really interesting and hard to place at first . It started out kind of flat and then at the end I got this clove or something, i’m not sure exactly what it was . I enjoyed it , but it's definitely gonna be kind of a culture shock kind of thing for people who aren't used to it .

Another thing that I enjoyed was that the hot sauce Here is actually hot . It's not crazy like burn your mouth out hot , but there is definitely some warmth there . The platter is also quite large . You could get this platter and split it with someone else, Or you could make it so that you save half and have another meal later on . The price felt steep , but the food was great .

I ordered from Yummy Kebab as soon as I realized there was a new halal restaurant in Marshall's Creek. Living in nearby Bushkill, there are not many restaurants within a reasonable driving distance. It is a blessing to have a new place like this, especially because it adds a welcome bit of variety to our local eateries. My family shared the lamb, chicken, and falafel platters. All came with pita (unlike Shah's in Bartonsville). We also tried the taboule, baba ganoush, Mediterranean salad: all were well seasoned and delicious. My 7 year old was also able to have a plain hamburger. There are typical kid-friendly foods available like chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, burgers, etc. The couple that served me was kind to include a free pieces of baklava.
