Wendy's — Restaurant in Middle Smithfield Township

I have had work experience at Wendy's here at this location back in 2012-2016 and actually a few months ago in the summer , I even walked out due to conditions at this location in particular, if anybody knew the owners and how little they care about worker safety as well as public safety, nobody would spend money there or the other 8 plus stores they own, back when they remodeled the dining room there was so much black mold on the walls by the bathrooms and ceilings and ceiling vents throughout the building, they have the same "maintenance" guy come in and paint white over the mold, wallpaper barely sticks to the wall. The electrical work is highly unsafe all around the store especially above the fryers , in the summer your working in summer heat plus a million degrees from the grill and fryefs not being properly vented and cheap air conditioning. What made me finally leave is the fact they had sewage floating around at our feet for days and days only closing the dining room and still serving customers in the drive thru, food that has been exposed to human waste . That's just this Marshalls creek location, imagine the other 10 or more stores they have. I wish owners weren't given heads up everytime a health...

One thing I've noticed about Wendy's is that they're very hit or miss. This one has always been a hit. All my prior visits have been for lunch or dinner. This last time I went for breakfast. I was super hungry. I got a sausage, egg and Swiss on a croissant combo and a maple bacon chicken croissant. I like the way they do their potatoes at breakfast. The maple chicken was good but a little too much maple maybe. While I enjoyed it, I became a huge fan of the sausage croissant. Their croissant are super. You get a nice sized breakfast sandwich there and its super tasty. Theres a McDonald's down the road but Wendy's was faster and tastier. I dont think ill get a McDonald's breakfast so long as Wendy's is around. The only negative was that the coffee was a bit weak. McDonald's coffee is better. I used the drive thru. I dont know if the dining room is actually open. Drive thru service was fast. I was in and gone in no time. Look out everybody, there's a new player for breakfast in town and...

I ordered coffee with my meal and was asked to pull forward, the gentlemen said he'd be right out with my coffee. Needless to say I waited and waited, watched four cars get waited on and then waited again. I finally went in and asked if they forgot me. Im sure I was forgotten the person who had given me my order wouldn't even turn around, he had someone else hand me a coffee that wasn't even fixed the way I ordered it. The poor kid didn't know what to do I felt bad for him anyway I told him what I wanted and this nice kid got it for me. My reason for being upset is I had to go in to the building, it was freezing outside and I am elderly it was a big inconvenience. If the person who took my order and took my money (looked like a manager,) should have had the decency to apologize for forgetting I was waiting for something. All would have been OK.
