Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

I've been here before, and never had problems, but to be fair, I never had this particular cashier before, either.

So, to start, I had a physical coupon. Got it in the mail. I had originally wanted to place an order online, but couldn't, as there was no coupon code on the coupon itself. The website requires a coupon code to apply the discount.

I wasn't sure if I missed something or not, but either way, I wanted to save the money, so I just drove to the location to place the order in person.

The cashier greets me and walks up, but I sensed they already had an attitude. Don't know if it was just a bad day or what, but I proceeded to ask my question about the coupon. I mainly wanted to know if the coupon was in store only, or if there was a way to redeem it online and I just missed it.

Cashier didn't even really listen to my question, as they just asked if I wanted to use the coupon (in a rather condescending tone of voice, I should add). I repeated my question; she looks at it, then says it's in store only. They then take the coupon abruptly without explaining what she was doing, scans it through the register, and a receipt came out. I suppose they were checking to see if it was valid.

They gave it back to me, and ask if I want to order. Again, tone of voice as if I am a moron. At that point, I just say nevermind; no point in ordering after that. I don't regularly do business with those who are rude.

I realize it may sound like I am complaining about nothing. But, it's difficult to convey tone of voice, eye contact, and overall mannerisms through a review. And that was the main issue I encountered today.

I am not one of those people who believe that retail workers should always be sunny and deferential, but at LEAST treat me politely... that's all I ask.

I took my business elsewhere, and will not be back to...

I go in this store probably twice a week this is my kids favorite place to eat. My other half has 2 children, I have 3. We get coupons for buy 1 get 1 free, we go in, I use a coupon and he uses a coupon. This past visit the manager flipped out on me screaming and yelling that I cannot do that. We are 2 separate human beings how are you going to say we can't each use a coupon. We are such regulars at this store they know our order. I was shocked and in such disbelief, he flipped out and talked to us the way he did. The coupon states one per visit not 1 per family or per household, we are 2 separate people with 2 separate families. Needless to say I will NEVER go back in their again the way he made me feel was...
