Noonie's Deli — Restaurant in Middlebury

Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE. We drove in from NY and were starving and they refused to make our sandwiches and said they did not look at the email which we were fine with and requested to take our order since we were there in person but they said they didn't want to. They took 7 customers behind us. We have NO IDEA why they behaved this way and we truly feel that we were racially profiled against. I NEVER in my life had this kind of an experience. Absolutely disgusted at how they treated us and with NO reason. Still in shock to be quite honest to say the least that such disgusting people are allowed to run establishments and that too for such a prestigious college like MIddlebury. I gave it 1 star only because I had to put something in for me to be able to write a review. They don't even deserve negative stars. It is absolutely appalling the way they treated us. I am making sure I tell everyone I know that they treated us this way. In fact, we are releasing a video of that absolutely God Awful event at Noonies that day so everyone can see how they behaved with us. I truly hope NO ONE ever goes...

Unfortunately one of the worst owners I’ve ever encountered. After trying to call in an order twice without an answer- we needed to place the order in person. After getting harassed and insulted for coming in with an order of 5 sandwiches- (explaining I’d be fine with waiting, but being told I needed to leave the store while I waited) the overwhelmed and clearly overheated owner Megan said you know what- this needed to be called in and and she’s refusing to make us anything due to being short staffed. The owner then proceeded to throw the note pad back at me and tell me to leave. I felt awkward about the whole situation so gave it a day and decided I wanted to check in with Megan the next day to see if we could make amends. She immediately insulted me on the phone again saying coming in with an order when she was short staffed was unacceptable and she’s sick of taking bigger orders during the lunchtime rush. Noonie's has some really great sandwiches. They have fresh ingredients and freshly baked bread that is absolutely delicious. They have lots of choices including vegetarian options, soups, desserts and (non-alcoholic) beverages. The food is good and the staff are very efficient. That being said this place is not very accessible for wheelchairs. They have one small table downstairs and the rest of the tables and the restroom are on the second floor. The second floor is more of a loft that is in need of some new carpeting and updates. Noonie's also offers delivery services but they are hit or miss with the deliveries.
