Iron Skillet — Restaurant in Middlesex Township

This it the worst iron skillet we have ever went to 80 in all!! its 515am 6-29-25 waiting for the restaurant to open when I see Misty and I asked her when does the place open she said when we get finished so 6am comes and goes then 630 then 7am and so on, tori is walking around in out of the place all this time. Hear come the mess!third Person ordering but the first people waiting!!!!! The food was burnt up all the way and egg hard as bricks 🧱 we sent it back then we waited and waited and waited then we see the cook tori passing us , went out of the restaurant I told my husband let's go !!!! So we had only 4 sausages and 4 toast and one cup of coffee for $24.99for what??? it should have been free !!!!misty told my husband as he was paying for that mess !!That It Had Been A Long Day !!!!! And remember it's early morning so what's really going on here,I was so shocked when my husband told me about the price of the items. later on that morning I went back to see if we were over charged and another waitress said no .and misty was coming back from her break.WE will never return!!!! this is why iron skillet ever where are gone because of people that don't care, a job is only a paycheck but we are the people that are paying u guys I hope u...

Husband stopped here as he does alot and was just completely dissatisfied and left with not eating.He ordered a sometherd steerburger steak with a side of vegetables. This also came with a soup or salad he opted for the soup. Waitress brought it over tossed it on the table and left apparently you have to MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR CRACKERS@ Who eats soup without crackers??? While sitting there he sees an order come up waitress looks at it puzzled he thinks it his but she takes it in the back. Appears as though she put his order in wrong.So here he still sits. After 35 minutes of wondering where his food is it comes out not with steamed veggies but stir fry veggies and did not see any mushroom on top of his steak. She also refilled his water with no lemon as he had the first time I guess you must request this to. After speaking with the main manager and nothing being accomplished except for them telling him the make him another on the house . Incase you dont realize you are serving truckers there time is crucial he had already been in there for an hour and needed to go make his delivery. Sad to see how downhill so many places have gotten and cannot get good help or...

Overall Rating: It's just Okay

Atmosphere: The area is busy with truck traffic and travels. To be expected for a travel plaza. Inside the restaurant you will find fewer family and more lonely truckers having a meal alone. Idea for the establishment would be provide a Que card to place on the end of the table that says your open for company.

Quality: The food is exactly what you would expect for a buffet style restaurant. Opting to take the buffet which they are primarily known for. I found myself a little disappointing. While there was a good selection of greens and starches, the meats where very dry and you could tell they had been out for hours.

Service: The wait staff was welcoming and attentive making sure you were happy by providing refills on a consistent basis. However it should be noted that it's abundantly apparent that instead of paying the wait staff a proper wage the restaurant forces them to rely mainly on tips. Always a negative.

Overall Impression: If you need to fill your belly in a hurry and get a move on, it's ok. I would personally suggest just hitting up any of the other nearby establishments for better...
