New York Chicken & Grill — Restaurant in Middlesex

This place has the best fried chicken and platters in all of North America. I came all the way from Toronto, Ontario Canada to visit New York City. One thing about Canada compared to the states is the quality of food. Everything that I have had in the states is not good quality, but this place has proved me wrong. I ordered the family fried chicken meal which was only $27 and it had a lot more quantity then I was expecting. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life. It was tender and juicy from the inside and very crispy from the outside. Coming from a city where Popeyes and KFC are Halal, this place tastes way better and satisfies you more with the affordable prices. I also tried one of the platters and they are way better than the ones you can buy on the streets of NYC. Eagerly waited for them to open once I saw the sign go up. Decided to get them for lunch today. Highly recommend the Grilled Chicken and rice combo. The Chicken was very tasty, and the rice was very flavorful, and not dry at all. Fries were okay, nothing special. Plan on going back this weekend and if is another great experience will bump up to five stars for consistency.

Updated review: Went back for dinner this weekend. Well worth the five stars. This time I had the mixed gyro rice combo. Even better then the grilled chicken. Always get the white sauce! I also sampled the fried chicken. The leg and thigh I had were very juicy and flavorful. The chicken was fried nice and crispy and with just enough salt. There was immediate confusion with their own menu. There was an attempt to overcharge me, then an attempt to double charge me for the same order. In addition to this, the cook (who also took my order) didn't include a side that was clearly listed as a part of the combo, stating that I don't get another side because I got Cole slaw. I, for the third time, had to point to the menu on the wall to point out that the combination came with a side AND Cole slaw.
