This is a very nice dog park. There are two sectioned off areas. SOMETIMES its turns into a smaller dog area and then a larger dog area. Sometimes, both areas are mixed with all different sizes. This park does get muddy when the weather is wet, so be warned, paws will leave dirty. Honestly though, it's worth it. The ground is safer than asphalt because it is softer and as most dog owners know, dogs wrestle and roll around on the ground. So even though it may be dirty, the softer ground is much safer for the pups. This park naturally gets much busier in the warmer months, but people bring their dogs all year long. Saturdays and Sundays are almost always busy. It is lit up at night. There is a sidewalk in one of the areas that loops around, so if you ever find yourself there without any other dogs, you can still walk around and entertain your dog. There is a water spout that is on during the warmer months. There are water bowls at the park. Bring water for your dog in the cooler months. Most of the dogs are super friendly, but it is important as an owner to be responsible for your dogs safety and the safety of the other dogs in the park. Don't bring treats to the dog park as you are bound to be surrounded by pups and it could create tension between dogs....
Read moreWhen I adopted my dog, Becky, last May, one of the first things we did was begin to explore Dog Parks in every County. Central Bark Dog Parknof Morris County is one of our favourite dog parks. It is enormous - total it is covers over 3 acres!
There are four separate pens. When you enter, the first two pens have wooded areas for the pups to explore, Agility Obstacles to overcome and mega amount of space. My hound Becky can't get enough of these areas. We have yet to discover another Dog Park that can offer all these amenities!
The third pen is slightly smaller and for smaller dogs. The fourth pen is just a wide-open field, two football fields in size. Just lots of space to run, play, fetch, and make new friends. Be warned; there is no shade and no seating in this area.
Becky and I have each made some great friends here. The dogs and owners are well behaved, kind, and generous! Just great dogs and dog lovers!
While I give this Dog Park FIVE stars, there is very little seating and absolutely no water offered. Be sure to bring your own and be prepared to share it with the other dogs in your pen..
Despite the lack of seating and water, this is one of the best Dog Parks we have discovered and one of our...
Read moreLack of sundown lighting but if you have a small dog like I do please keep them on lease until they get to know the other bigger dogs. Everyone there was extremely nice but it’s up to you and you alone to be vigilant and protect your dog just in case because even if it’s not a pitbill some dogs will not get along. Luckily every dog there was very...
