I’d like to preface by saying that this review is not about the food, it’s about the service and overall experience dining at this place. We’ve been to this restaurant three times. The first time was great, but being huge coffee lovers, we noticed that their coffee was very light. We let it slide, since it was our first time, and we thought perhaps it was just an off-day for whoever is brewing their coffee. However, on our second time, we noticed that the coffee was still made the same way - very light roast. We asked the server if we could have at least a medium roast, and her response was, this is how they make their coffee because most of their customers are elderly and don’t like their coffee that strong. We still went there a third time, because we really liked the food, but this time we stopped by at nearby Starbucks to get our coffee before going into this restaurant. We were promptly greeted and seated, but when the server came, she said, “Next time, you should finish your coffee first before coming in”. We told her that we prefer our coffee a certain way and that’s not something that this restaurant is able to offer, so we decided to bring our own coffee. She then said, “You don’t bring your own beer to a bar when you don’t like their beer”. And I replied, “We’re here for the food, not for the coffee.” And of course, at this point, we just stood up and left, mentally crossing off this place from our favorites list. I understand the principle behind not letting outside food in, but most places are able to accommodate and make an exemption on items that they are not able to offer, or are not on their menu. And quite honestly, if I’m a business owner, I wouldn’t want to lose $50 worth of business over a $2 cup of coffee. Especially not on a day when you only have 6 customers dining in.

Nice, comfortable atmosphere. Ample portions. We had the typical steak and eggs, but then we went for their suggestions for what were some of their popular specialties...the Wisconsin Country Skillet and the Cinnamon Roll Sandwich. The steak for the steak and eggs was 6oz, so very nice for a breakfast. My skillet was off the charts. I gobbled that up shamelessly. But the Cinnamon Roll Sandwich was truly a unique take on a bacon and egg sandwich, savory and sweet at the same time with excellent balance. The server did a great job offering thoughts, checking back, and being cheerful. The server was slightly forgetful missing my orange juice and jam that is not on the table, but really that happens everywhere. So, it was a nice experience at a good price.

Nice service, food is above average, and price is reasonable. Bakery did not offer pie, but the strawberry rhubarb turnover was very sweet! I was disappointed with the eggs Benedict. It wasn't cooked properly, rather it was a small rounded omelette with hollandaise sauce on it. It tasted fine but not a Benedict. I did like the hash browns, very crispy and flavorful cooked with onions which had a caramelized flavor. Service did not check in quite often enough (one check in only) with a light Saturday morning crowd. Also forgot a side plate of eggs, but quickly recovered that. Nice people overall. $76 before tip to feed 3 adults and 3 children, so fair value.

My fiancé, infant son, and myself all came in for breakfast and now I wish I got our waitress’ name but that’s okay, lady with brown hair slicked back in a bun with glasses. We were seated quickly and given our water and coffee and ordered, then we didn’t see her for another 30 mins after that. All we ordered was eggs, oatmeal, and a pancake. Understandably it’s a Sunday which are usually busy, but we watched our waitress stand in the back and every now and then go to a table with their food, passing us. Now that our water and coffee was done with still not a word from our waitress we were ready to leave. She then showed up, not to ask if we needed anymore drinks and not to apologize, but to say “hey, so food is gonna be another 5-10 minutes” as if she wanted us to choose between waiting to eat or leave even though we’ve already been there for 40 minutes? Doubtful they had even started our food at that point. So we said we were just going to leave and that we had been sitting unattended for 40 minutes already. All she responded with was that it “was Sunday and was busy. You can pay for your coffee up front” and she walked away!! Like seriously? You couldn’t even give a fake apology for the wait or see if we needed anything refilled? Terrible waitress. We then went to pay and when the hostess asked how it was, my fiancé said “terrible, we never got our food” and she apologized and asked what happened. We just told her all that I mentioned and asked if the restaurant was busier than normal and she said no. our waitress came up and blurted out “it’s a busy Sunday, I did my best” I responded saying “you never even came back to our table” And she looked to other customers saying “you can’t please them all” like excuse me? I told her, you didn’t even try! Wish I still got your name to include it in this review, but thank you ma’am for a terrible...

I moved to this area about a year ago and have finally experienced this wonderful little local gem! It is a breakfast spot only and it is always packed! They close at 1 PM everyday. I have been wanting to go in there but never am I there early enough to get a table without waiting even though i'm sure it is worth the wait! I have had take out their 4 or 5 times now and it is so delicious-- just like home cooking! I don't think you can go wrong with anything there. I've had their omelets, I've had their breakfast sandwiches I've had their skillets and those pecan rolls are to die for! They have quite the bakery and I'm afraid to try to sample everything so for now i'm sticking with the pecan rolls! If any management or ownership are reading this, I would like to make one suggestion as far as an item I'd love to see you add in terms of bakery items. I'm sure would be a hit- Instead of strawberry rhubarb, try raspberry and rhubarb! I'm actually surprised at how many places don't have it on their menu and always have the strawberry. I promise you, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the raspberry and rhubarb combination. Strawberry, I've always feel overpowers the rhubarb whereas the raspberry compliments the rhubarb nicely! Just need a little added sugar to tone down the tartness. I used to go to the diner in Verona, which I think is as good although they don't have the bakery. But now this is so much closer. So for the most part, I'll be enjoying my breakfasts here at C's!

Thank you so much for The awesome service in...
