I will never step foot into this place again. I met a couple friends there for lunch. The food was mediocre and nothing good to say about the service. I left a generous tip on the check, despite the service because it wasn’t very busy there. One of my friends left a cash tip on the table and crossed out the tip line on her bill. That same friend called me a few days later and asked if I had been overcharged by Tanners. She had noticed that an extra $5 was charged to her card. I pulled up my bank statement and I had been charged an extra $20 over the amount I had written on my check. It went from $25 to $45. I called and spoke with the manager, Valerie, several times trying to get this straightened out. She would tell me she would look into it and call me back and then she wouldn’t. I had to be the one to call every single time. Finally over a week later she tells me she would refund the $20 to my account. By the way, there was never an apology of any kind, just a tone that conveyed I was annoying her. So now it’s been almost 2 months since I was told she would refund the over charge and I haven’t received it. I called again today and spoke with the same manager and she just said Oh, I know I did it. And asked if I could go over there and pick up the $20. I said they could mail it to me as I won't waste my time driving over there. Again no apology, just a total lack of caring or customer service. Very disappointed in the customer service my friends and I received yesterday. When we were ready to pay, there was just one problem after another. There were four bills total and we were asked at the beginning if we wanted separate checks so that is what we did as we thought that would be the easiest. When we received the checks and they ran the credit cards, the receipts came back different with larger amounts that had to be voided, incorrect amounts, and some getting charged double. This issue lasted at least 45 minutes of going back and forth and getting multiple different receipts. We were made aware that it was the servers first time waiting on a party of this size which we understood. The part that was very rude was that another server came over to explain she was new but made the comment under her breath saying "There is no reason for an attitude" when all we were doing was trying to figure out why all of our checks were so screwed up. The staff trying to figure this all out did not seem apologetic at all to us, the paying customers who all have previously enjoyed coming to Tanners. If this was the servers first time waiting on a larger group, she should have had help and we were understanding of her but no apology from any of the staff. As a group of out of towners meeting up with friends, we were looking for an establishment to "eat, drink, and be merry" for a football game in Fall of 2024. Well....the size of the place and ability to watch the game was great. So many TV's! Not a bad seat in the house for viewing. Good variety of drinks. $4 Long Island Ice Teas were pretty good. Wait staff were friendly, hustled, and kudos to them on a busy night! However, the place was in need of cleaning and updating. Filthy carpet and floors, stained walls in need of paint. Our table smelled like it had been wiped off with a dirty, sour dish rag. Yuk! Food was bland, not fresh, and did seem, as others comment in reviews, put together with leftovers. In our group of 9, no one had any high praises for what they ordered. Edible, but not great. Worst part of the experience, though, was the female bartender with a bad attitude. There was no heads up for last call, or near closing, She couldn't wait to get everyone out and was not nice about it. Actually yelling to all that the night was done and everyone leave. (Several workers at this point, were on the gambling machines and didn't look like it was lock up time for them.) So overall, there was good,...
