On May 13, 2021 I presented three items for return during my shopping. I was shamed and embarrased in a line of people by the manager who told me continually in front of other customers that she would not return my items. I had all of my receipts and packaging. I was returning blueberries that were not good and did not last more than a few days (carton was full), bagels that in which half of the bagels were hard and the other half soft, and a flowering shrub that had just dirt in the packaging that was completely unopened in a box. The manager told me that they just had a meeting and that they were no longer able to return perishiable items unless they were returned withing 2 days! There is no such advertisement of this policy anywhere on Aldis website. I had to continue to argue and dispute this fraudulent accusation. She verbally warned me in front of all the other customers behind me that they were not returnable. I continued to dispute this, she ended up refunding the items and warning me that it would never happen again. She also kept my original receipts. I did not receive any twice is nice refund. I was shamed in front of all the other customers. I was verbally bullied for a fraudulent claim that is not advertised anywhere on Aldi's website. In any given month, my total family spend at Aldi is between $300-$500, and it is horrible and disgraceful to shame a loyal customer for what amounted to $10.31. False advertising on Aldi's part. I deserve an apology, and Aldi's customers deserve full clarity on what Aldi's return policy truely is and is not. Will file fraudulent advertising claim with FTC for corporate dispute of false advertising on...
Read moreThis is my favorite Alde to go to! You will save HUNDREDS by shopping at any Alde. This particular Alde is larger and I feel has more to offer. The Best days to shop for fresh produce are Thursdays to Saturdays. They have a VERY WIDE SELECTION of gadgets and things for your home.
Their candles are the BEST CANDLES I HAVE EVER USED! They are calling Huntington something or other. They will smell your house up perfectly and they are not toxic ect. They are only a few bucks $1.99 to $4.99 for large size candles far better than any Yankee Candle or those Party Light candles I have used.
I did purchase a 4 slice toaster oven for $30 and was super excited about it however when I plugged it in only 3 of the 4 slots worked so I needed to return it.
I SHOPPED this week on a Monday and they did not have alot of things I needed as far as food items. When they are stocked it's fantastic. They usually only have 1 register open and when I shop I'm buying a minimum 3 cart loads totally full or more of food and stuff so it would be helpful to others to have at least 2 people hop onto the register during busy times.
I suggest you bring your own bags and grab boxes as you are shopping to make it super easy to organize your foods in your bags or the boxes you pick up along the way. They do not have paper bags unless you purchase them which is still cheap. Each cart is .25 so be sure to have change on you if your new to Alde.
For 3 cart loads I usually spend less than $350.00 on everything. At Bjs for that amount I'm typically spending $1,550.00 for what I would get at Alde granted Bjs is in bulk but still Alde is a cheaper option that I...
Read moreUpdate: Since I last wrote a review, Aldi has really stepped up their game. They've updated the building, introduced self checkout, added a lot more rotating/seasonal specials, all while still beating just about every other grocery store's pieces. Love this place.
Original review: A surprise. It's not much to look at, but they actually carry some great stuff and their prices are hard to beat. They don't have a huge fresh food section and rotate some of their items pretty frequently, so they might not always have what you're looking for. It's helpful to pay attention to the weekly circular that comes in the mail.
From what I hear, there's a newer and larger location a few miles away in Levittown, but this place usually gets the job done (with a quick stop over to Renders to fill in 2-3 produce holes on the...
