Update: this reply was disgusting and disturbing. Not sure what kind of power trip you are on but this was insulting. I did reach out to your corporate office. Even if you're a franchise owner this wasn't a good representation of the brand. I will keep this review up so others can see how you treat customers. This was more on you as a manager than I Had a disappointing experience today with the staff and manager Nuygen. When I first entered to pick up my togo order I noticed they were busy so I stood on an interior wall to wait to be seen. Two servers walked past me and one stood in front of me. We made full eye contact. I thought her next move would be to ask me what I needed. Instead she laughed and proceeded to call the people sitting. This struck me as strange because why make eye contact? So I spoke up and said hi I was here to get a pick up. I expected her to say oh OK give me just a sec and then come back instead she grabbed my bag, which was good but again her initial move was to ignore me. I know this seems small but it was the feeling that I was bothering her is what the result was of the interaction. I leave and look in my bag and the order is off so I go back in stand in the same spot. This time there a manager standing at the host stand and again we make eye contact and I say hi are you the manager he looks at me and puts up a single finger. So now my feelings have been validated - I am feeling unwelcomed. He proceeds to seat a group, again I have NO issue waiting to be seen. But don't make me feel like I'm bothering you as a paying customer. Second half of experience: I explain while standing in the door way (I havent been asked to come to the side which was off putting but I digress....) I explain I've ordered in the past and gotten a different number of Tenders. He immediately begins go get defensive and says "Oh yeah? WHERE?" Loudly which made others turn around and was embarrassing. I tell him the locations and he said, "OK wait here while I call them and see what they give" I was taken aback because what?? So I ask, "You want me to stand here while my food gets cold for you to confirm with another restaurant in another state what I'm telling you?" he goes "yeah cause if it's true then I'll do it but I know that's not what we put in an order so I'm going to confirm. " the scene was dehumanizing. He treated me like I was a liar and I look over one of the server is giggling over the interaction. Remember I'm standing in the door way. I say," I'm over an hour away from my home city and would like you to make it right or please give me your corporate number to reach out to someone." he then says I'll give it to you this one time but next time we will not" I let him know OK I won't be coming back to this location. He said it to me like Id say to my 5 yr old if we weren't going back to a children's museum..... I didn't feel good about him talking to me like a parent would scold a child. I don't have to frequent that location and frankly I won't if he's managing. If he had been listening I don't live anywhere close by. So it's not like I Wil be back soon. I was visiting a family member in the near by assisted living facility and just wanted to get a bite for my son and I. The manager made me feel like I did something wrong and treated me poorly and also embarrassed me. I'm not looking for compensation only for an apology. I understand being busy but treating customers poorly isn't the answer. If he didn't feel he could speak to people with out an attitude, defense, or empathy he should have had someone else speak with me or just gave me the order correctly and took the day off. He reiterated he would be calling the other stores he forced me to list which were three in two separate states. Like I said the entire interaction was dehumanizing and he needs some training in customer service and empathy. Forcing a customer to go over their service history in order to support their concerns, forcing them to wait while they tap dance for you.... All wrong. Very...
Read moreFor the first time of many I was disappointed with Metro Diner of Langhorne, PA. My boyfriend and I went to have breakfast. He had the 3 egg breakfast and I ordered the country fried steak breakfast (new item). We receive our food his look great, I looked at mine and noticed that the gravy didn't look right. It had a weird look to it, so I took my fork and started to smear the gravy and it started to look even stranger, upon smearing more I noticed it wasn't cooked all the way. The manager just happens to be cleaning the tablet across from us and I asked him to come over and once he came over I told him that the steak is not done! He told me that's the sausage gravy and I said o no, it's not, it's not done. I lifted the the steak off the plate and then he said o you're right. I'll get you another, I said the fire is up to high cause it's cooked very crispy on the outside, yet the inside is not done. The steak still had blood running from it. I told him I did not want another steak just bring me the 2 egg breakfast. Ok, so now the bill come and shockingly it was the full bill. We wasn't excepting to have a half cooked breakfast and no we wasn't excepting the entire check to be free either, yet at least cover my breakfast. I thought that was restaurant etiquette. I was wrong, I had to mention the mistakes the kitchen made on my food. No, the steak was not the only mishap, just the major mishap. Again, we've been to Metro several times and this was the first time for the experience, all other visits have been successful. This mishap was very...
Read moreI want to start this review by saying that I got a weird meal for a diner. This place is clean and definitely tries hard to offer good customer service. Our server was friendly, funny and attentive.
The interior of Metro Diner is also well done. The kitchen is open and the restaurant has ample seating that is well spaced. DOn't be fooled by the exterior (strip mall). This is definitely one of the nicer diners in the area.
The food, however was nothing special. I got Avocado Toast with Egg Whites with a side of broccoli and my friend got a salad with fried chicken tenders on it. Neither were amazing but both definitely were done well. However, I did like that I was able to get something healthy at a reasonable price on their menu. They had many Unhealthy options that looked delicious.
One of the things that I do like about Metro is that they do not have a massive menu like most diners do. They had a board of rotating specials that seem to change daily and their menu was large but not crazy.
We stopped in for a quick lunch and this is definitely the way to do it. If you are in the area and in need of a quick bite, definitely give this place a try. I'm only giving it 4 starts because the food was...
