Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Middletown Township

Did an online order thru the app. Got a spicy chicken sandwich meal that comes with a drink & 2 sides. Picked both of my sides as the Mac & cheese (which you pay extra for this side but I like it that much that I always get it no matter the upcharge) +.60cents & a ranch (which I also pay an extra .25cents for..I get to the speaker & give my name, am told to come to the window. The employee that was working apologized & told me immediately that they were out of the sweet tea I had ordered..no biggie, I got a fountain drink ..but nothing else was mentioned. I am handed my bag a few mins later & as I’m pulling away, I open the bag & the contents included: spicy chicken sandwich ✅ 2 sides of their Cajun fries ❌ & 2 biscuits ❌ so I pull back around & ask the same employee if I was possibly given the wrong order since I didn’t order fries or biscuits..she literally turned around like she was going to ask someone but then turns back to me & says the reason I have those items is because they ran out of the Mac & cheese. Why I wasn’t told about this when I was told about my drink, idk!?! Cuz 1) I do not like the seasoning on the fries so i won’t eat them nor does anyone in my household so they were thrown away, 2) I paid that up charge price not once buy twice on that order & 3) I had a sandwich that comes on a bun so I didn’t eat the biscuits either & threw them away too. So I ended up paying $15.31 for 1 spicy chicken sandwich & a drink..no sides (since they didn’t even give me an option to chose something I would have eaten & no ranch dressing. I work at Bob's Furniture down the street. I come here for lunch break sometimes since the place opened. Initially the food was good. But the last few times my chicken sandwich has been OLD and NASTY. Sitting in the warmer WAY too long. I am so sick of fast food places not keeping their food fresh as advertised. I never review anything but feel compelled to review this Popeye’s. I had a craving for fried chicken yesterday and have not had it in years so I decided to try the local KFC yesterday and while it smelled great in the car, at home it was a bucket of mush. It was an 8 piece and I ate one thigh and threw the rest away. Still craving fried chicken today, I ordered Popeye’s and the difference is night and day.
