This was my second time ordering furniture from Bob’s and the second time we had had an issue. After our first bad experience I said we would never go back again but I decided to give the company the benefit of the doubt and give them another try and I regret it. I would not recommend Bob’s to anyone!!! If 0 stars was an option, I would give 0 stars!
On 12/19/2020 we made our purchase of a dinning room set which included 4 chairs, a bench and a table. We really wanted the set before Christmas so we were willing to pick it up, however we were told we could not pick it up and that it had to be delivered so we were forced to pay $59.99 for a delivery fee. We scheduled for delivery on 12/31/2020 which was the soonest it could be delivered.
On the morning of 12/31/2020 I received a voicemail from a woman named Anna stating that the delivery would be here however the chairs would not be delivered. I called customer service to see what was going on with the chairs. I spoke to a man named Chris who informed me that there must have been a mistake for the phone call because everything including the chairs would be delivered. After getting off the phone with Chris I still wasn’t 100% confident that the set would be delivered in full so I called back. I spoke to Angie who also said not to worry - everything will be delivered together. Well, Our delivery came and the team did not have the chairs. I then called customer service yet again. After being on the phone for an hour and speaking to an associate and a supervisor (Michaela) I was told that there was nothing that could be done about it but I request would be put in for it to be delivered on 1/2/2021 I was told it should not be a problem because it is not an entire sectional it is just chairs and the bench that they are replacing because it was damaged. I was told that if it could not be delivered today the soonest delivery would be 1/7/2021. They told me I would be notified first thing in the morning and yet I never got a call confirming when the new delivery will be. I called customer service and spoke to a supervisor who was a woman named Michelle she informed me that there’s nothing they can do about it it will not be delivered today and it will be delivered on the 7th. I told her that I need to return the whole thing because we have four children which now we can’t eat at the table together or at all two of the children are doing virtual school and sit at the kitchen table to do their schoolwork. Now what are we supposed to do sit on the floor? This was not even our first choice the first choice of the dining room set that we really liked would not be available until mid/late January according to the sales associate (Todd) so we went with our second choice. Now we have no chairs,a damaged bench and a table that is not doing us any good since we can’t even sit at it. I told the supervisor Michelle I would like to just return everything so that I can purchase something else that will be useful to me and my family that I would be able to take home today and have set up for the kids for school and for our family to have meals at and she gave me an attitude saying “if you look on the back of your receipt you will see once the delivery is made all sales are final and no returnable”. I’m totally disappointed in Bob’s and will NEVER order from them again.

Read moreAfter 4-6 weeks waiting for our item to be stocked, which we knew when we went to purchase online… we finally got our bar delivered on 7/12. It was raining, we have a porch with a ring camera. The fed ex guy delivered it and put it down gently. As he put it down we could see the box was already damaged and now wet too. Now whether this was done while with the manufacturer or by fed ex. Not my problem. I purchased an item that wasn’t cheap, and it was damaged. Maybe not that bad but I wanted someone to acknowledge it. 1-2 calls a week from 7/12-8/19 and a trip to the store on 8/17. Worst customer service ever. No one is on the same page and no one, until the last person on the customer service line was able to help. I was told I could get a refund if I sent It back, even exchange, or store credit. I said I don’t want store credit. i would like a replacement item and i will ship mine back once I receive it. The box is so damaged I can’t even piece it together to send properly. They said I would receive a replacement in 5-8 days. Every day that I did randomly go online to check the delivery date, it oddly said that day every single time. Odd. I kept calling in and was told they were waiting for fed ex to pick the item up. Then I was told it’s not in stock until end of September. Etc etc run around each time. I even offered multiple times to then just take the item back to the store for a refund. They said it was an online purchase and I couldn’t do that. Someone even said go buy a box from fed ex and ship it back. You know how much a big box to fit a bar and 3 stools in cost? Aprx $150. In the end I decided I wanted a full refund and they could come pick the item up, or a percentage back on my original payment method, not store credit for the damaged item. After a month of calls and chats, Kristen or Kiersten was the guardian Angel of this month long mess. She was very understanding and sympathetic to what I went through. I ended up getting some money back and kept the damaged item to fix on my own. I literally tried so many steps to get here. Offered to negotiate different options for them to make this right for their customer. I am thankful for the last manager I spoke to on the customer service line, and the people in the store, the 2 women who called around and tried everything they could to also help me. But…. Most of this was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had to deal with. I will never shop here again and I hope you realize that some improvements need to be made on how damaged items, replacements and returns are handled. Read moreWe recently shopped several places for decent furniture locally diamond, a place in pennel and Bob's on rt 1 ... Bob's has by far a better quality product , better warranty options and better salesmen compared to the rest at nearly the same price .. the showroom floor is beautiful, they have something for everyone , and a stocked complimentary snack bar : candy, ice cream and coffee ect.. for us and the kids!
We purchased a couch and love seat console combo both power recliner and a separate love seat console recliner for our " theater room" all installed out the door for about 2600.00, we furnishes 2 rooms, WHAT? We spoke and dealt with Chris a salesman at the Langhorne store and he spent a good 1hr and a half the first day then about a hour today .
He was very patient with us despite us being lost.. sectional or not , leather or fabric , this or that . Never felt pressured and we believed he genuinely cared more for what we needed in our budget and would make us happy rather then his total commission, rare these days .
Thanks you Chris for your time and effort, 2 years ago we made the mistake and bought from a discount store a sectional for 1300.00 .. Well we're shopping again so that says alot about the quality. Looking forward to awesome new cozy furinuture with a warranty that covers our crazy kids and 2 pets completely!!!
Was a 5 star review but I had to update , we had our sofa delivered . The delivery company never called us to confirm a time window, we called the store to confirm the next day delivery ... upon delivery one sofa was slightly torn on the corner which was replaced 2 weeks later. BOTH TIMES THE DELIVERY SERVICE CAME TO OUR HOME THEY LEFT TRASH ON OUR LAWN AND IN OUR STREET. I ACTUALLY COMPAINED THE FIRST TIME AND EVEN AFTER THIS THEY CAME BACK TO REPLACE ONE SOFA AND STILL LITTERED YET AGAIN!?!
Bob's discount furniture in store was a wonderful delight and experience. The employees and atmosphere were perfect.
