Forest Hills Country Club Vue 791 — Restaurant in Middletown

Specifically a review of Forest Hills restaurant Vue 791. Vue 791 is located at the golf course in a building renovated specifically for their restaurant. Open daily 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Reservations are requested but I'm sure they would have no problem with walk-ins. We were greeted by one of the owners and seated in this new, clean and modern restaurant. Menu is a blended Mediterranean menu with sandwiches of Gyros, Hamburgers, falfel, and chicken. Dinner entrees include Lasagna, Kefta, potato & eggplant steaks, NY Strip, Haddock, Salmon and more. Salads are also available. We both had the Chicken Kefta served with rice and potatoes. I found the dish to be very good with just enough spice to be very tasty. The wife had Baked Brie for dessert but they also serve a Bailey's float, baklava, and a rum berry trifle and they found some ice cream for me. This restaurant is a bit hidden but worth searching out. Prices are typical of a nice sit down but not excessive. Two dinners, soda and dessert cost us about $40. BEST VENUE EVER!!!! I had my wedding ceremony and reception here on 10-13-2024 and we had the most wonderful experience with owners Rania Shteiwi & Hatem Shteiwi, they are amazing. The level of customer service and attention to detail they put into making my day perfect was above my wildest expectations. They happily made a vegan and chicken dish for my guests who don't eat beef. My mother, however, loved the beef and mushrooms dish so much she asked for the recipe! Beautiful grounds for photos, they even decorated a golf cart for us to use! The banquet hall is gorgeous, and for a group of about 60 people there was more than enough room to move around yet it still felt close and intimate, too. Well this was a pleasant surprise. Who knew that Middletown had an upscale restaurant with Middletown prices? They even offer live music on the weekends. We just loved this place. The owners came out and talked to us. The restaurant is called Vue 791 and it is located at the Forest Hills Country Club. You do NOT have to be a member to eat in the restaurant. We are not members (yet). The restaurant is Mediterranean themed with exotic favorites like baba ghanoush. Don't let that scare you off. There is plenty of Midwest "normal" food to eat.
