I took a few classes there a few years ago and was far from impressed. The first class was OKish, but subsequent classes were problematic for a few reasons. Staff & owner were specifically asked if a project was too challenging for a novice, was reassured they would provide ample guidance and it could be completed easily. What was experienced was having to take multiple classes due to having to wait for unreasonable amounts of time while entirely too much of the time the staff/owner had long personal(?) discussions with (seemingly more affluent?) customers who were favorites. That meant standing around waiting over 15 minutes at a clip, often multiple times during a single class... unprofessional and inconsiderate to everyone else paying for classes! As fate would have it, I started to experience extreme neck & back pain, which they just blew off and did nothing to try to accommodate; I made it clear that my only goal was to complete that one final project.... and still had a few hundred $$$ worth of gift certificates my family had bought me for Christmas and birthday gifts. When I called to discuss with the owner, she was hostile and refused to help get the project finished, even after I told her that I'd had to have neck surgery!!! She actually told me that I'd have to come and finish it as they needed the space for their students; she offered absolutely nothing to help the situation. Due to the surgery and recuperation, the gift certificates had expired; no compromises whatsoever from this 'lady'. After I'd just had neck surgery! Janet and a few other staffers were helpful when I was taking classes but they were always very understaffed, they were very sweet people. The light I was making was 95% completed... Haven't the foggiest idea what ever happened to it but it was going to be so pretty, was very excited about it. So what happened to it? Is it just sitting on a shelf still? Did they trash it, or finish it and sell it? I really wonder. Also wonder what happened to the tools I ought from them and had left there, they weren't cheap. This is long overdue but has disgusted and baffled me (how the owner be that callous.) ever since... always felt totally ripped off of my time, effort, materials, project, & tools. Total disappointment in...
Read moreClasses are available to create, and retail, to purchase. Such a beautiful place to visit, if you enjoy craftsmanship, and Glas, this should be on your list. The staff are welcoming and informative about the building and the art. It was worth the drive to see this place, and after visiting the beautiful art the cracked pot coffee and crepes was a nice lunch. So many nice boutique style stores, and restaurants within walking distance, make an...
Read moreWe had our class reunion there last night in the banquet hall. It's a beautiful place with all of the high polished wood and stained glass. They honored our reservation from last year that got cancelled due to the virus! They allowed us to bring in a caterer and do some small decorating, as not much is needed with...
