Bush's Chicken — Restaurant in Midland

My family eats here about once every 2 weeks. It is definitely a family favorite. One of the few places that sells livers and gizzards, which we surprising like! We try schedule this dinner stop on a Tuesday when they have Tender Tuesdays. This is when they have their Awesome chicken tenders on sale. We mix up the sides depending on what we are in the mood for, and are always happy with what we get. We have eaten here many times and never had any problems. We pull up to the drive thru. Well, not a good experience at all. I was visiting a good friend of mine this AM, and she asked if I would go pick her up something to eat from Bush's Chicken. I told her I would. After placing her order, I noticed the soft-serve ice cream machine was not assembled. When I let them know, a Mgr. asked am older woman to fix this, she shook her head no!! Still ignoring the issue, I mentioned it again. Mgr. said it would take a while to freeze. This was 11:15 AM. I really hate only giving them three stars. I tried to justify more I really did but just can't. The food is wonderful, what a fried chicken joint in the south should be like. Best sweet tea, chicken and okra in town. What kills the higher rating is the service. You never know what they will or won't do in this place. Management is arbitrary and you can have three new managers in a shift because they don't stay. I've seen better organization in a kindergarten snowball fight.
