Older Lady at register must have been in a bad mood as we had an awkward exchange about butter, of all things, at one point, she asked me if I wanted to trade jobs with her. I asked for melted, warm or soft extra butter for my plain Jane as they usually give a half to a 1/4 stick of frozen butter. What I received was boiling butter in a ramekin that was almost as hot as the surface of the sun and almost melted my skin off. When I decided that I at least needed to let someone know about my experience I spoke with Bryan who is the manager/owner? I pulled him off to the side and made sure not to cause a scene or raise my voice when I told him what transpired. He informed me he knew I was upset as he saw me when I picked up what was given to me yet he decided not to intervene and let things play out. While he was semi apologetic and let me know that that was not done and malice , I was extremely taken back when he said that he saw my face when I picked up my food and knew I was upset, yet still did not attempt to make it right at that point in time. I had to find a manager(Bryan)and express to him what happened after I sat down and realized how HOT that ramekin was .I understand Jasons Deli is not a five-star restaurant but it is a restaurant that I can go to across the country and get the same type of food and quality in every one that I go to and that’s why I go to Jasons deli. I will continue to go to Jasons Deli, I’m just blown away by the dismissiveness, had that happened to a child , they could possibly still be in the hospital.
Do better Jason’s Deli in Midland...
Read moreI want to like Jason's. I usually eat in a Jason's 2 or 3 times a month. Maybe more. However, this summer at this location has not been as pleasant. They have taken napkin dispensers off of the tables. They have taken salt and pepper off of the tables. Are we going back to Covid practices? I hope not. Jason's has had conditions beyond their control this summer. Jason's was without air conditioning for several weeks. I know they were trying to fix it. They had a hard time getting the parts they needed. They stayed open with one air conditioner working in the entire restaurant. They attempted to cool the rest with fans. My complaint about how they handled that in triple digit temperatures was not putting a sign on the entrances. You had to get out and go in to find out if they were still without air in 3/4's of the restaurant. Some people need AC due to health reasons. It would have been nice to be able to check the outside door to see if the AC was up and running again. I am not giving up yet, but Jason's Midland, Tx. you can do better. You have...
Read moreWent into Jason’s Deli tonight with my mother. We placed two To Go orders with the cashier. He was a young guy with a backwards hat on. Seem to have a nonchalant demeanor to him when we asked questions. We seem to be smiling more than him. We waited in the To Go area. My order came out first. We waited another 20 minutes for my mother’s order. They called out a name and I thought it was my mother’s order. When my mother inquired about it, she informed her it wasn’t her order. So my mother ask is there a Debra back there. She looks at the orders on the counter and hands my mother her bag. When my mom replies why was it sitting on the counter so long. The young girl with glasses replied “I called it.” My mother and I never left the area, nor was the establishment busy. I understand customer service is nowhere where it use to be but simple things like getting orders out when they are ready and being friendly to customers should be a priority. The food however was delicious and I enjoyed it. Just letting you know how our experience was in your...
