Strawberry Fields Cafe — Restaurant in Midland

Today I tried this place for the first time. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the taste of the food and preparation of the food. First, what I ate was vegetable soup, sockeye salmon and asparagus. My son ordered baked herb chicken, brown rice and veggies from the salad bar. The salmon was over cooked, dry and bland. My salmon had big pin bones still in the meat and I swallowed one bone and thankfully didn't choke. Not wanting to alarm my son or make a scene I continued to eat. I plucked out four more bones and called it quites. I did however, receive great customer service and the manager compensated me with a $10 gift card and said he was going to speak with his vendor about why they have bones in the fish. At first though I was told that there fish come with bones. My first thought was I don't think that's normal or even safe for people to buy their salmon. I have had a couple of dissatisfying experiences here, including seeing a roach on the counter and finding a hair in my food, as well as reoccurring rude exchanges with a specific employee. I stopped eating at this restaurant for about a year. Recently, I decided to give it another try. So I ordered a one of their chicken salads with no onions. When I received my food and took the first bite, I tasted the onions. I was reluctant to let her know about my salad, but ended up going back and telling her. She took my chicken salad and plopped it back into the chicken salad container. She did this in front of me and all of the other customers. Not very clear where to find the menu at first, then there was no where to sit!, we went outside with our kids which was a little too chilly for comfort hence we didn't plan a picnic lunch we went to a restaurant! Once outside at 12:30 so easily lunch time all the table and chairs were still cabled together and there was already a gentleman out there eating who was also sitting in a cabled up table and chair. I asked for a cup of water and had my food including my sandwich and still had not received my water. 15 minutes later our table and chairs were finally unlocked, aww I missed sitting incredibly close to the table while sitting on a thick cable, I went in to ask for my water and I was handed a cup of ice!
