Crooks!! Very disappointed. Have eaten here many times and food has always been good. The man (owner?) who takes the orders rarely gives a receipt and if he does it is not an itemized one but just a credit card receipt. We ordered two sandwiches and two waters. The cheeseburger was 6.95 and the other sandwich was 6.99. When we got to our table and started crunching numbers, it just didn’t add up. When we questioned our total he did give us the itemized receipt. Wow! I ordered a cheeseburger with Swiss cheese. I was charged an additional 50 cents. If I had known that I could have ordered a mushroom Swiss for $7.25 and had them leave off the mushrooms or just get whatever cheese comes on the cheeseburger. With the second sandwich we were charged 35 cents for rye bread. There was no rye bread. The person getting the sandwich doesn’t even like rye bread. We were also charged 50 cents for 2 waters. We were wondering why our credit card charge was more than the actual bill. They add 4% if you use a credit card. I would have been happy to pay cash if I had known that. I wonder how many other times we have been cheated in the past. I wonder how many other patrons are being charged for extra items in a daily basis. I understand that small business may need to charge for credit card purchases but they need to tell the customer up front. Not doing so makes them look sleazy and sly. I would encourage anyone eating/ordering here to check their receipt ls. The owner has sticky fingers. We won’t be returning...

The French fries were way over seasoned and super soft. I could bend the fry in half without it breaking that is how soft it was (0 star of 5 on the fries). The onion rings were crunchy and lacked any flavoring in the batter, unlike the french fries they were at the opposite end on flavors (2/5 stars on the onion rings). The hamburger party was dry and also without even the most basic seasonings such as salt and pepper (0/5 stars on the patty). The best item was the fried pickles (5/5 stars), the pickle was salty and extra crispy. If I returned to this place I would probably order the pickles only. I took a photo of the pepper shakers because it was nasty, rust on the lid and food stains on the bottle. Considering how many people were at this joint, only one other table, this place did not feel sterilized to COVID19 standards. There were drink rings visible in the light on the table. I cannot say that they have anything that I would want to return for and the cleanliness...

See, let me tell you about this place. I'm going to break it down real simple for you. You pay entirely too much for what you get. I was in a group of four people, and we paid over 40 dollars for our tab. And, that was because two of the people shared a chicken strip meal. If we all had our own meal, it would have been around 50 bucks. Also, you have to wait so long for your food, and they don't even bring it to you. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. Once you finally get your food, it tastes really good. But, after you get done eating, you sort of wish you hadn't consumed it. The food leaves you with that unsettling "grease bomb" feeling in your gut. If you want a good burger, there are a lot of other places you can go that are more affordable and a lot less greasy. I'm not ever eating...

I'm giving it an extra star since it's right around the corner.. walking distance to my house. Food is good. But nothing to write home about. I will most likely make this my walking staple. But if you are from out of town, eat at your local burger spot. There's no ohh factor here. They also so serve icecream and shakes, however prices are pretty steep compared to other places. Added another star for thier constant great service. Owners are super nice and always keep the place clean. Midlothian is lucky we have this place. We've tried every other burger joint in town... Hideout blows all of them out of the water. They deserve all the attention the competition gets downtown. Location is their only downfall. Great for me but bad for them.

Best burger I have had in awhile. Cozy place ordered to go. Jalapeño bacon cheddar, with onion rings. And also same burger with fries. Fries were really good. Onion rings were good too, just seemed like a small portion. Burger patty was good size, thick and cooked perfect. Juicy so bun got a little soggy at the end, but I pushed through. Have extra napkins handy. Definitely coming back. Much better than another joint a few miles away by far. Back again and the double bacon cheeseburger was so big I couldn't unhinge enough. But I managed to find a way. So good. Fries great and the fried jalapeños had a nice bite to them this round. Love this place.
