It is Friday, and it is a humid, hot day. I am driving home from a long 8 hour hard labor job. I am hot sweaty, my hands, jeans, and shirt are covered in dirt, I probably even have dirt on my face. I am thirsty and hungry. I think I want something other than fast food. I think, hey, I have not had Jimmy Johns in a while. Let me duck in real quick and grab a cold iced unsweet tea and a cold cut sandwich. I ordered the #11 and asked for a wheat bread sub. The teenaged cashier explaines they only have french bread for the subs. Okay, that's boring, but I am tired thirsty and ready to get home. She didn't ask what I wanted on the sandwich. I am not picky and will eat how it comes. I would have liked salt and pepper. She didn't ask, so I didn't think to ask for it. The sandwich was bland. The meat and cheese was good on the boring bread that I have at home. At last, I am dying for a drink. I feel the humidity and sweat falling down my temples. I fill up my cup with ice and pull the unsweet tea handle down with my dirty hands. Nothing. No big deal. I am tired, but I can wait a few minutes while fresh tea brews in order to fill my 5 dollar cup up with tea. By the way, 20.00 for a boring sandwhich I could have made at home, and some chips is robbery. I asked the girl if she could make more tea. She says, "My manager doesn't like when I make more tea this late." Seriously? It is just after 7pm. That is not late. Annoyed, I look at the options. It's too hot for Soda, I paid 5 dollars for a cup, so I am not about to get water. I do not like sweet tea. The only option for me is unsweet tea. The whole reason I wanted to stop was to quench my thirst. I am not sure if she was lazy or telling the truth about the manager. I will never go to Jimmy Johns to eat again. The food is not worth it, and neither is the cost. I will spend my 20 bucks at Jersey Mikes, where I know I can get fancy bread, and they ask me what I want on my sandwich whether I am covered in sweat and dirt or not. I doubt I'll get a response, but even if you threw a free cookie at me for my trouble, I will not be back. See the photo of the boring sandwhich...
Read moreI am a person of not writing reviews. because I had to strikes in a row, it is important to bring it to attention.
I ordered a turkey and a Cubano sandwich (because on description there is no mayo). On the Turkey sandwich per description it have the labeled ingredients including mayo. On Cubano it is same story with the exception that there is no mayo, only mustard. When I return home with the food the Cubano sandwich have mayo on it.
I don't know if employees pay attention to details but they have to. Imagine someone with diet restriction and what they dont suppose to eat it is on the sandwich?
In summary I had to trow away the sandwich.
I hope you guys...
Read moreFood was good. Sandwiches had plenty of meat compared to other places. But they did not get my order correct. My sandwich was supposed to have roast beef, provolone cheese, mayo and pepper flakes. I had asked for no lettuce or tomato. They did not put lettuce and tomato on it, but they also did not put any cheese or pepper flakes either. It was not busy. When I got to the store to pick up my order, there were three workers and one customer in the place. No one said a word to me. I saw my order on the pickup shelf so I got it and left. I should have checked it before I left, but I assumed that as simple as my order was, it would be ok. Won’t...
