Taco Bueno — Restaurant in Midwest City

I have worked the fast food industry for 35 years and can't believe this... we arrived in your dt at 720pm Saturday nite ordered my food and waited in the line there were 3 yes 3 cars in front of us...we arrived at the window finally after 35 min when getting ro the window the pleasant softly voiced young woman was standing there to great us the manager with the ponytail approached the window and asked us what our order was we told him he looked for it on the menu screen at the steam line he told the young lady the order wasn't even on the screen and then started disapling her where did the order go,you cash the wrong car out,you handed the other car their food,you keep making these mistakes it cost me double in food cost,I can't keep allowing you to make mistakes, and the conversation continued for about 5 min in FRONT OF ME..... Didn't even shut the window..... I was soooo floored and wanted to jump into the whole situation me being in the industry for many years my daughter says MOM DONT it took everything I had to not jump thur that window and shake that manager back to business.... after he did his speech to her he tells her she needs to ring the order up agian so they can make it so she did very timid by this point we gave her our payment and she made our drinks that same manager told us to pull to the front of the store that he'd make our order and it would be right out it was 3 bean burritos +sourcream a party bean burrito +sour cream and a order of chips and cheese... not a hard order at all so we agreed to pull to the front we waited and waited and waited and we really didn't even mind waiting my daughter was in from Joplin,Mo pregnant and was craving your menu so the wait we just sat in the car and visited well 40 min went by and I said ok now im going in to see what the hold up is.. I walked into the restaurant and a young man greeted us I told him we had already ordered and was asked to pull to the front parking spots and we'd been out there for 40 min I was just wondering how much longer the manager with the pony tail turned around and said what was your order I told him again what my order was...he stopped making the food 4 the dt and made my order... but honestly by the was that steam line.looked I was sooo timtided to tell him.forget it just give me a refund BUT I didn't want to cause any more hassle for them... so I watched him make our food.. the young man said unappreciated statement to the young lady and said im not tring to be rude and then the manager was tring to apologize for "losing his temper" with her and as she was earlier in the dt she just stood the silent taking all he had to spit at her fighting back tears you could see it in her face... so we got our food and went back to se 29th and sunny lane to home opened our food and omg the quality shouldn't even of been used the flours were not hot the beans were so thick I could of laid wall paper with them... and honestly I expected it not to be what it is suppose to be and I fed mine to my American bully she loved it but the hole purpose for this comment is just this... OUR RESTRAUNTS are HARD 2 STAFF.... And when u have a young woman as such that was there that nite taking all the what I call nasty treatment in front of guests from that manager just know SHE COULD OF WALKED OUT cause if it were me I wouldn't of allowed that treatment and I would of walked out on him in a time of when he needed me the most...I admire the young lady it just goes to show us business is people NEED their jobs to survive and you know what she does toooo she stayed thur the whole time I was there and was there for 1 hour and 20 min.... appreciate her ❤ her and teach her if it were her fault don't abuse her verbally exspecially in front of the guests... know if I would of had my business card I would of given it to her and I would of stolen that young lady away from you and made her a place of employment that was a amazing place to work.... where she would of been trained and cared for.... shame on you MANAGER With the PONYTAIL......

I use to live in MWC for a period of time and we tried coming to this particular Taco Bueno a couple of times but quit going for a few reasons, one being we walked in after the lobby closed (pre-covid) but they still had the doors unlocked and we didn't know they were closed, and we stood up front for about 10mins before we were even acknowledged, which is not only frustrating as a customer, but also dangerous for the employees if they think the door is locked when it isn't. Upon realizing when they acknowledge just finally, we were told that we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant as it was supposed to be closed, but none of the doors were locked. I forget what the second reason was, but I decided to give it another shot today as I was in the area. And for the first time in my whole history of going to Taco bueno, including other states, I was told that I was not allowed to add sour cream to my muchaco combo, and after I already paid for it and when I opened my taco it didn't have sour cream on it. I took it back up to the desk and the lady that checked me out, I didn't get her name, but she has very abnormally blue eyes, informed me that they're not allowed to do that and she just did it for me just because, even though she didn't say anything about not being able to do that in the first place. Luckily this Taco Bueno is nowhere near where I live, as the ones where I'm from I've never had any kind of problem like this or the one mentioned before. The food was good, nothing wrong with that side of things, just from my several experiences and it looks like others have shared bad experiences at this particular bueno. I know it doesn't hurt them, but I personally will never be back...

Got inside, there were two other people waiting for their food, about 9 trays and a drink were left on the trash bin, all the tables and booths were dirty except the tall tables. They didnt have any steak made or and cheesecake chimichangas sadly. After I ordered I waited about 10 minutes for a chicken quesadilla and an order of chips and queso. The food was okay. My queso was extremely thick and I heard someone from the back, about 5 minutes after I got my food, say that they just now changed the queso, so I assume that the queso I got was the old batch due to how thick it was. Other times I've gotten it it's been relatively thinner. My chips were okay, some of them were flimsy and undercooked. The cheese on my quesadilla wasn't very melted and the chicken tasted like it was from a can. One of the guys from the kitchen walked out and came back in but not before he removed his shoe right outside of the door and was touching his foot. I'm not sure if he washed his hands or not, cause he went straight into the kitchen. Should've just gone...
