Trio pizza - Midwest city Taste Tour Pizza joint pizza is a favorite, ranking only slightly behind BBQ as a place that warrants an ASAP Taste Tour. Trios is a quaint little place located in the same shopping center with multiple other businesses (even fitness centers, if you feel guilty after eating an XL pizza all by yourself). Think hole in the wall pizza place and you have the right vibe. There is lots of indoor dining space, but also a little outdoor patio space with table and umbrellas if you like dining al fresco. Their menu is diverse, with wings, appetizers (I was intrigued by the "Bucket of Fries" but opted instead for the Cheesy Bread...), pizzas of all sizes and toppings (yes, they have pineapple!), sandwiches, salads, calzones, and pastas. (Menu posted in the pics.) Now, most of the "made from scratch" pizzas seem to be made from scratch somewhere else, and assembled in the back...but the industrial size dough mixer sitting in the kitchen confirmed theirs is made from scratch, on site. So the Meat Lovers calzone was ordered, in the medium size. You can order any pizza as a clazone, or build your own. I figured All. The. Meats. would suffice. My first clue that I had misjudged what "medium" might look like was when a take out order left, and the lady's "XL" size pizza box had to be tilted to fit through the door. Let's just say that the size chart is generous (see pics below). The calzone and cheesy sticks (actually a "small" pizza with their cheesy goodness for the topping) arrived at my table in under ten minutes, along with a tray of ranch and sauce for dipping. The calzone was about a 7 on the crispy scale--not doughy; light; crisp but doesn't crumble when you eat it. (1 being doughy and soggy, 10 being extra thin and extra crispy, slightly burnt) The homemade crust is a little different that your chain pizzas, in a good way. The sauce made it just the right balance. Didn't try the ranch, because ranch and calzones is the work of the devil...but that's a story for another post. The cheesy bread was also great, and a whole lot of appetizer for the money. If fact, it was a WHOLE lot of food for the money (and the carry out pizza specials are an even better deal). So, overall, definitely worth the trip westward for made from scratch pizza. Next time, I'll arrive with an empty stomach and try the wings, as they were also highly recommended.

I consider myself somewhat of a pizza critic. With that being said, I understand that I'm in the Midwest and should tailor my expectations accordingly. This place was cheap, had very quick delivery, and the delivery driver was exceptionally polite. The pizza was good, but I was disappointed by the misleading photos showing a wood fires pizza. All-in-all, the pizza was good. Not the best ingredients, but for the price, it's a great value. Extra points for the garlic crust. I also, had the chocolate cake; it was a bit dry, but I understand that this isn't made fresh for obvious reasons. Will definitely try again next time I visit the area.

This pizza was so good I thought I was back in New York City having a famous slice from there. The workers are very nice and friendly and put a lot of care into the craft of pizza making. The dough was very good with a great undercarriage with every bite, went with the bbq special. Came out great with fresh feeling ingredients. The bbq wings were also very good as well with lots of flavor, a great pull of the bone, and fully cooked how wings should be. Definitely will be coming back here again ! Come out and try Trio pizza !

I heard about Trio's from the Taste of Choctaw Facebook page. I mentioned to my husband we should try it. Then I thought I'd check GrubHub to see if they delivered: THEY DO!! I quickly decided to surprise my husband with pizza tonight!

I am so glad I did! The pizza was easily the best in town. And it was cheap, but not at all "cheap". I ordered two medium specialty pizzas and paid the same price I would have paid at Domino's.

You can tell they actually MAKE the dough, it's not made elsewhere and brought in! The cheese was quality cheese, and the meats weren't swimming in grease. The pizzas had substance, and were amazing pies.

This has all the markings of one of those hidden, hole-in-the-wall, knock you off your feet pizza parlors from your favorite book or movie. The one you wish you had when you had a slumber party growing up. The ultimate Netflix and Pizza date night place.

I mean seriously, you've got to try this place. If you regret anything, it will only be because you didn't find out about them sooner. I'm telling all my OKC area friends even to come check it out!

My husband and I can't wait to get the chance to order from there again. Next time we're going to try other things they offer, like subs, burgers, cheese steaks, calzones,...

A real "hole in the wall" gem. It is not very big, the dining area has (maybe) 20 chairs total. I noticed A LOT of online or pick-up orders while we were there. The staff is super friendly and professional. the place is very clean. As for the food... omg the food. The servings are enormous (we needed a take-out box). I ate the best philly cheesesteak sub in the whole of Oklahoma City. The bread by itself was a poem of crunchiness mixed with soft and delicious. The philly filling was seasoned to perfection. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, melting in your mouth. My friend ordered a 10' pizza with 3 toppings, it was cooked to perfection and the crust was brushed with olive oil. Then we both had this food of the Gods named Tiramisu. The super-cooled cake was the last drop of satisfaction on this hot day. We will definitely be back, to try other subs, more pizza, some of their pasta dishes and DEFINITELY...
