I had to check this out because it’s been the currently hyped up thing in town. And boy did they DELIVER.
There was a line of course, but it moved at an alright pace. I ordered the mix shawarma bowl and shared the falafel with my wife. Given a 15-20 minute wait time, and they delivered in that range! They also confirmed the falafel is gluten free (I’d double check for those who are sensitive/have Celiac disease!) so long as it isn’t on a sandwich so I gave it a shot.
The food looked excellent, and I love how they plated it. Very akin to what you see in the photos. But it tasted even BETTER. The seasoning on the chicken and beef is SUPERB, and generous. Both were cooked excellently, and plenty tender. The rice was flavorful and well cooked (not overdone), but didn’t fight for dominance. The vegetable assortment was wonderful as well, and shoutout to the pickles. Super crunchy, but a more mild pickle so it’s more textural than flavor.
Overall, I’m very excited to have this place in town. It’s absolutely wonderful, the service is great, and the food is top 3 easily for all the other similar places I’ve been. If you’re on the fence, I HIGHLY recommend you...
Read moreI was excited to try Shawarma Twins because I truly enjoy Middle Eastern food. Having worked in Dearborn for many years alongside Middle Eastern colleagues, I’ve had countless experiences at authentic restaurants and know what to expect. Unfortunately, this visit was one of the worst I’ve had. The grape leaves were absolutely terrible and could not be finished, the shawarma was dry, and the hummus was served without any bread — with no option to order it. In most Middle Eastern restaurants, bread is automatically included with hummus and garlic spread, so this was surprising.
The service also felt very unorganized. After paying, I waited about an hour only to find my order had been sitting out and was cold. Rashad kindly remade the food and issued a refund, which I greatly appreciated. With better communication, organization, and attention to food quality, I believe the restaurant could improve and serve the community well.
willing to try it again in the future...
Read moreTight little place on the inside, but man their food is great. I eat a bunch of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food in Ann Arbor because I work up there. This is easily on par with those... and obviously cheaper.
I was super stoked when I saw it pop up in Milan. Friendly folks that know how to make some wraps. I've eaten there twice to see how consistent and portions. I can say it was exactly the same both times for the chicken shawarma quality... great. I made the mistake of ordering extra chicken the second time. Oh man, that thing was ridiculous. That paired with the huge 'small' order of fries made 2 full meals for me.
Online ordering is super easy and customizable.
If you like these types of wraps or have never tried this style of food, treat yourself. At work we always say that mediterranean and middle east eat-outs... you don't feel like a worthless piece of crap afterwards.
They have very respectable baba ganoush... super...
