I liked everything I ordered: cranberry chopped salad with housemade cranberry vinaigrette, grilled jumbo shrimp skewers with housemade remoulade, clam chowder, and bourbon glazed carrot cake. The carrot cake had just a hint of bourbon flavor and then was very sweet and fruity, served warm - almost hot. The candied walnuts, bacon, and cranberries were perfect with the cranberry vinaigrette, making the salad almost a dessert itself. The grilled shrimp were seasoned well, giving it a lot more pop than I expect from anything grilled. The remoulade elevated the flavor even more with a little kick. The menu overall is a bit underwhelming, but once I actually tried the food, it was pleasing. I think the restaurant overall is still trying to find its identity ( new management beginning 2020). The renovations are nice, but need a little more personality. Thank goodness, they did get rid of the carpet. Restaurant is handicap accessible with no stairs at the entrance and fairly open inside. Chairs are sturdy even if the table was wobbly. Parking is easy with the medium sized lot, but may get a little crowded during the busiest times.

This Copper Blue is both an Unexpected surprise and fast becoming a favorite when I am in milford. The outside is not fancy but through the door is a nice relaxed dinner / bar / getaway / foodie haven. This is now my gentle way to enjoy an afternoon and great place for a chat over comfort foods salads and desserts. The blackened meatloaf(I ordered it Jake's way with cheese and peppers for more flavor) was unconvincing on the menu but that little question mark disappears when your fork has a say! The carrots are tender firm and really nice flavor! I'm going to try to recreate that sauce... And the broccoli was better than it looks. Salad entree was satisfying but left room for dessert. Bread pudding and brownie are ample size for sharing. I've seen this place work well for birthdays and they always seem to move at a slow comfortable pace even when they're really busy - but it's nice because you don't get stressed because other people haven't gotten their food yet. I know we have great restaurants to choose from in Milford I'm just thinking you might try Copper Blue, you may soon consider this as one of them.

This was my first experience at the restaurant, and it was for lunch. I ordered the Ohana Burger. It has pineapple, bacon, red onion, tomato, lettuce and BBQ sauce. I opted to have fries as my side. I really enjoy burgers with a twist, like this with the pineapple. It was very tasty! My only complaint of the meal were the fries. They tasted good, but they weren't hot, just warm at best. I also prefer them to be quite crispy and these were not. However, they are hand cut, which I do appreciate. They're drink selection seems pretty decent too. I order an Elvis Juice, that went well with the meal. Our hostess and waitress were fantastic. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, quick and didn't make too many visits. It can get annoying when the staff frequents your table every few minutes. But she did a great job. I will definitely go back. And am looking forward to trying something else on the menu.

After years of visiting Copper Blue multiple times per month we we’re excited to try outdoor dining as COVID-19 restrictions eased. Tonight was our first visit since March. We waited just a few minutes for a table, in our car, to help maintain distance and lower the number of people in the area.

The menu has had some changes, as one might expect after a change in ownership; as we were told on a prior visit the ownership change occurred early in 2020.

We started with our favorite appetizer. The black bean dip is different, we don’t care for it. More upsetting the previously house-made chips are gone, replaced by out of bag chips. Definitely not the same, in our opinion the new chips are gross. When the dip arrived at out table it was cold, this doesn’t help the flavor.

We’ve shared with likely everyone we know how good the fish is here, that used to be related to Tim filleting cuts himself. Good news is someone here still has that skill. Tonight’s grouper was great! We also tried the grouper nuggets, great as well. The hush puppies had a decent flavor but were not cooked through. Salads and sides were as we remembered though the fries were not as seasoned as previous, they were still enjoyed by our table.

The big disappointment of the evening was service. The rumblings of how long things were taking started with the wait for the appetizer. I shared with my table mates that the waitstaff seemed busy and we should extend some grace. Salads and entrees weren’t delayed, I thought we would have a pleasant end to our meal. Drink refills were offered by the server that delivered our entrees. Our server did check back, once. After waiting 20 minutes for the check and noticing our server not even looking our direction never mind making eye contact we went inside to pay the bill. We expressed our dissatisfaction and were told I’m sorry then told an excuse about several tables changing over at once ... honestly we saw that. Most of that activity didn’t involve our server and doesn’t change the fact that we were ignored for at least a half hour, it took some time before we started counting how long the bill was taking. We’ve missed you Copper Blue, wish you...

I previously had a 5 star but was there again last night and was super disappointed. Every time we go, we have different experiences with the quality of food. The food goes from superb to average. Never poor. But usually, the service is great, so just chalk it up to a fluke. Last night, we saw our waiter a total of 6 times. 1- It took a while before he came to us to take drink orders. Took our drink order 2- brought us our drinks and took our food order 3 - I checked on us about 10 mins before our food came out. 4- brought us our food but also asked if everything was good (before we took a bite. How do you know by glancing at your food) 5 - asked if we were ready for our check. And asked if we wanted drinks to go because the 1 glass he gave us in the beginning was low or empty at that time. Also, my husband was done eating, and I was nearly done. I was needing him within a few bites. I waited for him to come back around for awhile while I ate all my fries slowly, but by a certain time my burger was getting cold so I had to swallow down a burger that did not have enough condiments on it for my liking and did not have the pickles on it like I ordered. And had the wrong cheese on it. I did not express my feelings when he came back at this time because it was extremely too late. AND BECAUSE THE BURGER WAS NEARLY GONE. It was edible but not how I like it and expect food to be from your establishment. 5- gave us our check 6- Collected our payment

This was unexpected when it comes to service. He never walked by our table unless he was coming to our table. Maybe we were his only table on that side. We sat at the 2nd table from the door, directly across from the bar. My husband was facing the kitchen. When I needed our waiter, he only saw him once coming from the other side to the kitchen but could not waive him down. Now, if he came back by 5 mins after he gave us our food, that would have been sufficient. You should train your waitstaff to check on customers to come back to the table after they took a few bites of the food. That makes...

Was excited because this place had great ratings and the service as well as the majority of the food was terrible. The Cajun gumbo they had was decent and the dinner rolls were ordinary. I ordered their special, the sea bass with two sides, spicy Chile slaw and glazed carrots. The fish was ok, but not up to par (especially for the price) . The slaw was mediocre. The carrots tastes like they had been sliced, cooked for 5 mins, and had some sauce half thrown on them. Very bland and incorrectly cooked. My boyfriend ordered the other special, the ribeye with two sides, steamed broccoli and sweet potato tots. The broccoli was very bland as well as the tots(tatsted like they came out of a freezer bag) He ordered his steak medium well, and it came out still pink with red in the center (obviously not medium well). He let the waitress know and she took it back to the kitchen to correct it, and it was sent back out within less than 5 mins and looked as if it had been stuck in the microwave and had some garlic butter slapped on it (especially since the waitress mentioned to be careful because the plate was hot..?) Still the same as it was originally. He told her we would like the check please and that we were finished. The manager came out and proceeded to argue with us rather than correct the problem (whatever happened to your customer is always right?..) She finally gave us the check and we left. Also, my boyfriend ordered 2 different drinks, and they were both horrid. He ordered a Manhattan and it was very bitter and you couldn't even taste the whiskey that should have been in it. He also ordered another drink with rum in it, and it was terrible as well. All you could taste was something bitter. Will NOT be returning and do not recommend if you want your money to be worth while.. Our check after the steak dinner was voided off was still $50.. ridiculous for the service and the quality...
