The fries at Five Guys are so notoriously delicious that the manager at the Huntington Ave location in Boston had to bar a persistent customer in Boston who had a peanut allergy from eating the fries. An allergic reaction to peanut oil and can be deadly. But evidently, when fries are this delicious, even death is not a deterrent. The guy would order the fries, and within minutes of eating, begin gasping for air until he eventually dropped to the floor from anaphalactic shock. An ambulance would arrive, disrupt the entire restaurant, and bring traffic on Huntington Ave to a stand still. After this happened 2 or 3 times, every member of the staff was on full alert NOT TO SERVE the guy who's allergic to the fries because he will go into anaphalactic shock and he doesn't care. He just wants fries. Sure enough, 3 weeks later, with a new haircut and a rested appearance, the guy slipped through the cracks when he placed an order with a just-hired cashier. A line cook spots him right after he picks up his order at the end of the line adding ketchup and vinegar to the fries. He quickly notifies his manager and within seconds they tackle the guy to the floor. For a moment, it felt triumphant.

Read moreFoods good most employees r good but on some occasions somone having a bad day will refuse giving extra buns. Every other employee and 5 guys does it. They claim it messes up weekly inventory but i dont buy that. They also called the cops on me for asking for extra bun tgis time. Cause the 50 year old failure wanted to eat them all after her shift and couldn't share 1. The ugly karen with glasses is allways the jerk. Shes a “manager”. I wouldn't wanna continue if i was making that little at her senior age. Sad how the restaurant is weighed down by her. Cops was on my side too....

Not like some places that charge $0.50 - $1.50 for a dollop of an item or for 2 slices of an item. Wait time (considering they cook yours to order) was very reasonable. The employees were all so kind & willing to help you. The environment was clean & u can watch them make ur burger. No con's, except get extra napkins. Pro's : it's a real burger!
