MAINSTREET SOCIAL — Restaurant in Milford

My wife, I and another couple dined at Mainstreet Social for the first time on 11/2/23. In short, we all really enjoyed the experience and agreed Mainstreet Social is another great addition to the Old Milford stable of restaurants.

We arrived early (5’ish) and it was fairly empty, but things picked up while we dined. Since it was early on a Thursday, there was no live music, which is our preference esp. when dining. We all ordered burgers and agreed they were excellent, as were the fries and onion rings. The beers were cold, the food was hot and everything was reasonably priced. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, but not overly so. Walked in on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon to get a drink and some lunch with my fiancée. To my surprise we were the only 2 people in the entire establishment. After waiting approximately 5 min for a server to appear we were promptly denied alcohol due to my 29 year old fiancée having a paper copy of her license because she had to renew her license at her most recent birthday this past week and has not received her new updated license from the state yet. What a great way to to keep the only 2 people in the restaurant there. Will never be back. Shoutout to the incredibly rude bartender I'm sure your boss will be thrilled you turned away business. We came at 5:30 with 6 adults and 3 kids. After over an hour, our food did not come out. The server (who was very nice) stated our food was not made and asked us to resubmit our order. At that point, we decided to leave. None of our bill (beers and 2 appetizers) were offered to be comped. Atmosphere is good but it wasn’t even busy and there wasn’t enough staff to handle a few tables efficiently. Also, no high chairs - which isn’t a huge deal but could be a big deal to some...
