Worst interaction I've had in San Francisco after years of being here. My parents just arrived from a 30h flight, they don't speak English. I saw them down in a table to watch my stuff and went to buy myself a coffee while my partner got in line to buy them food and drinks. My coffee was ready in a couple of minutes, and when I come back, my parents are being screamed at by a bartender telling them they can't sit there because they didn't spend enough money. They were both really confused, I intervened and asked what was happening, to hear from the bartender "you cannot just buy a coffee and sit here, you need to spend more money than that". I explained to him we were in line to get food, and I didn't understand why he was being so rude. He said "if you buy enough food you can stay". Read moreWaited 20 minutes to get an iced mocha & blueberry muffin, first of all I don’t know why it’s so expensive ($20) ??? Then I noticed I was charged for 2 muffins when I only ordered 1. I told the lady at the counter & she kept saying “are u sure” I said yes I’ve been standing here for 2 seconds only after I’ve purchased. Then the coffee came but it was hot and I reminded her that I wanted it iced, that’s where the eye rolling and the huffing came in. Also they advertise this coffee being “Peet’s” but I highly doubt it because I’ve worked there for years and this coffee tastes like trash not even close to actual Peet’s coffee/ espresso. Be careful and save your money on a different airport cafe/ restaurant. Sadly I grew up in SF and I expect this airport to have better...
