The issue of the boba being tasteless 10 minutes before closing is completely understandable. I go to dozens upon dozens of boba spots a year and you know what....it happens sometimes. If they run out of boba and make a new batch last minute, maybe they don't let it soak in honey long enough before serving it. I simply went back in and kindly asked for a new plastic cup so I could leave, pour my tea into it and strain the boba myself. Didn't wanna bother them too much. They kept trying to give me a small paper cup. I asked a few more times, saying I wasn't asking for a new drink, just a plastic cup to drink my tea without the boba getting in the way. Not only did they not help me or recognize that the boba was really subpar, the cashier also gave me such a short attitude, he was peering at me and scoffing as he spoke to me, repeating my questions back to me like I was dumb to even ask.
I think this is the first time at a boba shop where someone has been as difficult and unhelpful as the people working here were tonight. As someone that has worked in a boba shop and overall in food business I'm always kind and super respectful to people making and serving food. So I know it wasn't that I was being mean. They just didn't want to help me. For a milk tea that was close to $10 after tax and a 25% tip, I would at least hope to not be treated like a nuisance.
Also, as far as the drink, the jasmine milk tea was watery even with the non-dairy creamer, which is supposed to make it creamy. The tea was fairly bitter, but in a gross way, like they burned the jasmine leaves. I usually get 50% sugar for milk tea at other places, and the 100% here wasn't even at that level. I figured it wasn't even worth trying to save the tea and ended up throwing away the drink altogether.
Very cruddy...
Read moreI was excited to see this place when we had gone to wing stop to get food.
It's always nice to see new businesses and try something new.
When we entered, all the different anime posters and stuff they had were nice to look at.
I asked the lady about placing an order and she just pointed at the kiosk. She looked like we were bothering her with her legos. I wanted to ask for recommendations but opted not to. When I finally found a drink I was wondering why there was only one size for the drink I chose. They only had a large for the mango pomelo sago drink. I really wanted to get a small just in case I didn't like it or if it was too much to finish.
I asked the lady and she was like that's all we have. Rude much but whatever.
I understand that with the pandemic, people want to keep their distance and make things more automated. I feel that customer service is still key, especially if you want people to come back.
We ordered the mango pomelo sago and some oreo drink. Honestly, it wasn't all that. Nothing super spectacular. The mango pomelo sago had way too much going on (texture wise), and I couldn't even make any modifications. I'm good, I'd probably recommend others to...
Read moreRecently discovered WanPo was in my area. I was randomly browsing online for a new boba spot that I haven't tried and this one popped up. I was pretty excited to see that it was close to me and decided to head over.
There is a kiosk that you can order from on the side, but there's also the register where you can order from as well. The menu is pretty extensive so I would definitely recommend looking up what you want to order before you get there. Ordering is quick and painless you just use the kiosk and pay by card.
The decor inside is super cute. There's tons of figurines and posters of different anime. Inside is not the biggest, so if they get a bunch of orders you are able to wait outside. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes.
I got matcha with boba and definitely liked the flavor. The milk was not too overpowering and you could definitely taste the matcha flavor. The boba itself was not too chewy.
There is a parking lot, so you should have no trouble...
